Blair Holt Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act

Just one more thing to bring up at your Town Hall Meeting

H. R. 45 as introduced in the House of Representatives (CLICK HERE)

I am not prone to exaggeration, but in this day and age of the ObamaNation, it certainly sounds like it.

This Bill, if passed as written will make the following, the LAW OF THE LAND. It was designed as a measure to prohibit irresponsible gun show sales of firearms but it goes much further than that.

It will be illegal to own any rifle with a detachable magazine or any pistol unless:
  • It is registered.
  • You are finger printed
  • You supply a Driver's License
  • You supply a Social Security Card
  • You submit to a physical and mental evaluation at a time of THEIR choosing
  • Each update or change of ownership through private or public sale must be reported with a cost of $25.00
  • Failure to comply means you will be prohibited from ever owning a firearm and you would be subject to one year in jail.
There is a provision dealing with child-access:

  • The government would have the RIGHT to enter your home without a warrant or notice, to inspect your home to insure you are storing your firearm correctly. Failure to comply is punishable by up to five years in federal prison.

Please don't forget to denounce your neighbors to the White House through the convenient e-mail address listed below (right)-

  1. I am not prone to exaggeration, but in this day and age of the ObamaNation, it certainly sounds like it.

Yeah... there's all sorts of things going on now, that I would have chalked up to tin foil hat rumors if I had heard about them a year ago. I hate to think what it would take to "surprise" me at this point, ya know?

  2. Paladin: They are trying to push their agenda HARD. Our only hope is in interrupting their majority in Congress in 2010

  3. I kicked up a ruckus on Resist Net about this a few days ago. This was what I got back from a man named Gary Hunt:
"The Bill, HR 45, was submitted by Bobby Rush (D-Il) from Chicago. It was introduced on January 6 and went to committee on February 9. No action since then. It has NO cosponsors, and was probably a campaign stunt, or shear idiocy on his part. Its chance of passing, at this pint, is nearly non-existent.

Our biggest problem is running scared from the government. Any idiot can submit any bill. Just klike any idiot can sue anybody. It doesn't even become a threat worthy of our attention and time until it has moved through certain steps.

It is nice, however, to say, "Hey, look what I found!"'

  4. Big brother... That's scary. I just wonder what's next. What else will they be able to enter your house to determine?

  5. I guess the old M1 is okay, huh?

  6. I'm curious as to how many years I'll get if I let them inspect it by firing it out the door at them?

And it does my heart good to see one of my graphics being put to good use on another site. Thanks, LL!
