Does President Obama "pack the gear" to take on Iran? There are many in the Clinton State Department who wonder if that's the case. Since SecState Clinton isn't a Czar, is she out of the loop?

Referring to the video below, the publication date is a month old, however the facts are interesting and the assertions of the analysis from are still valid.

The situation is developing slowly, like two chameleons making love, and nobody but the insiders really understand what's going on. I'm not sure that even they have a handle on all of the political dynamics churning under the surface.

It's a place on the planet we need to keep a close eye on because of the implications of rapid political shifts, such as one where Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani comes to an agreement with the Supreme Leader and they oust the current president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad through the use of the Islamic Republican Guard (said to be generally loyal to Ahmadinejad).

Al Jazzeera (English Broadcast) comments on the political power struggle in Iran. (same time frame as the stratfor production.)

  1. The US should have exerted it force to help the Iranian citizens against its theocracy before going after Hussein.

Too bad that now the US can't afford another war. The war might be brought to the US, unfortunately, as the cartoon seems to suggest.

  2. If Iran develops a deliverable nuke, Israel will protect itself. Europe is screwed.
