Liberals in Arizona

PHOENIX SUNS vs The State of Arizona

The owner of the Phoenix Suns basketball team, Robert Sarver, opposes AZ's new immigration laws. Arizona's Governor, Jan Brewer, released the following statement in response to Sarver's criticism of the new law:

"What if the owners of the Suns discovered that hordes of people were sneaking into games without paying? What if they had a good idea who the gate-crashers are, but the ushers and security personnel were not allowed to ask these folks to produce their ticket stubs, thus non-paying attendees couldn't be ejected. Furthermore, what if Suns' ownership was expected to provide those who sneaked in with complimentary eats and drink? And what if, on those days when a gate-crasher became ill or injured, the Suns had to provide free medical care and shelter?" -Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer

(h/t Sally E.)

Sally E. sent me the response by Gov. Jan Brewer in an e-mail. It serves to underscore the weak position liberals take when they oppose AZ 1070. It's easy to be a socialist and spend other people's money, but when it comes to your own funds, it's quite a different thing.

I make a similar challenge to other great socialists of our time: Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, barack hussein obama, etc. - When you become Ghandi and give all you have to the poor and begin to walk the walk, I will begin to take you seriously. As it is, your position is one of bribing taxpayers with their own tax revenue to obtain votes.

  1. Great post! Jan Brewer is fast becoming my hero! She has undoubtedly placed her career directly and squarely on the line for doing what is right for her state, but also her country. I pray that support for her does not wane. She is amazing!

I'm going to share this post wherever I can. Love it!!

  2. Talk is cheap for liberals. But to walk the walk entails paying the toll -- and if it comes from their pockets, then you learn what they truly belive.

You have a thought-provoking post, Roland

  3. Hoping and Roland, the cynical left brands anyone who doesn't want somebody else to give away their hard earned money as "cold and heartless". Now if somebody wants to give away THEIR money, it's a completely different matter.

  5. There is no telling what will come out of the mouth of an idiot. It is sad that the idiots with the money talk the talk without walking the walk.

    Thanks LL,

  7. I'm with Opie on this one. And you're showing your superior intellect by posting it.

  8. The barack hussein obama regime won a temporary victory in Arizona with the dilution of the new 1070 law. I'm sure that the Phoenix Suns will celebrate by having an illegal alien day when undocumented persons can see a game free of charge, with free concessions!

Why not sneak across the border into America (carrying an AK-47 and a load of narcotics)? What a country!!!
