Weakness of Character = Weakness in Office

None of us think that Obama is up to the task of leading the country and I'm not sure he was even up to the task of being a community organizer. Everything with the clown is obfuscated from his birth certificates and his college transcripts to his associations with ACORN, subversive organizations, and bigoted misfits like Jeremiah Wright.

Now it's been revealed that Obama was warned about instability in Egypt. During testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee last Thursday, Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., asked associate deputy director of the CIA Stephanie O'Sullivan when, and how well, the president had been briefed on the country's impending unrest. (IBD)
O'Sullivan, who is Obama's nominee for principal deputy director of national intelligence — the No. 2 post in the massive, multi-agency U.S. intelligence community — told Wyden: "We warned of instability but not exactly where it would come from," and "we didn't know what the triggering mechanism would be." O'Sullivan said that the briefing took place toward the end of 2010.

The problem is not with the CIA or with the intelligence reaching the top. It rests with the (rested and well-vacationed) man who sits in the Oval Office. Obama has shown a regular and disturbing grasp of international affairs and the linkage between events. Egypt rests on the brink and nobody knows whether it will sway toward a more democratic government or toward the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood is the single strongest opposition bloc to Mubarak in Egypt. It is a global jihadist organization dedicated to destroying Western civilization.  And Egypt's fall could set in motion the dominoes of Jordan, Yemen, and even Saudi Arabia.

Obama seems to think that a few verbs from his teleprompter will influence everyone in the Middle East. We know he's a narcissist but few in history have been as out-of-touch with their hands on so very much information. Or is it something more serious? The American people want to know whose side Barack Obama is on and we'd like to see actions, not just another goofy speech to a hand selected gathering of fawning supporters.

  1. We are living in interesting times...Obama showed his (weak) hand early to the Middle East, and the Brotherhood is going to look to double down.

...if things get bad, I would think Saudi Arabia would quickly seek to sway back into the graces of the United States, which would put us in a strong position for any negotiations or agreements, which Obama would then squander...

  2. Race - I think you hit the nail squarely on the head. Even if we were somehow propelled into a position of advantage through dumb luck, Obama can't be trusted to do the right thing.

  3. Israel is so screwed. Everything east of the Dead Sea is going to hell in a handbasket and Obongo is the basket weaver.

  6. To me it profoundly ironic that all of this falls so close to the 100th anniversary of Ronald Reagan's birth.

Who old enough to remember his inauguration on January 20, 1981 can forget that other significant but indisputably related event, the freeing of U.S. hostages by Iran after 444 days of captivity during the disastrous presidency of Jimmy Carter.

Today, in Obama, we have Jimmy Carter version 10.x.worse who may very well prevail over the collapse of much of the Arab middle-east (quite probably at the instigation of the Mullahs of Qom and their Pasdarani henchmen).

In a few months, we could all be wishing we were back in the "good old days" of 1979.

  7. That Saudi Arabia could do that, Race, certainly is one possibility. And I think LA has a point in comparison with the Islamism that spread to Iran. Both Carter and Obama show a profound lack of ability in foreign policy and the US, not to mention Israel and Mideast stability will certainly suffer.

  8. It's amazing that you would have written the above right as the news is reporting that Obama might have agreed to sell the Brits out as to their nuclear missiles. Talk about no character!

If this is proven top be true, the U.S. is done as a perceived world leader! If this President has in fact done what is charged in the leaked cables, he must be impeached immediately! As Pat asked above. Were the people in the Senate notified as required of this action? If so, why did the Senate vote to allow this to happen? Or is it possible this is another "we didn't read the entire thing" moment? If in fact the leaders of the Senate did in fact have knowledge of this action then they to should be brought up on charges!

Again, this is alleged but something I feel is in line with the actions of this Marxist we now have in the White House. Very scary!

  9. For this dolt, character is something referred to in the Chinese alphabet.

  10. Obama IS a loose cannon, and isn't a friend of the USA (in my opinion)... He's doing everything he can to advance the Muslim agenda in the middle east!

  11. Old NFO - Times are always perilous and dangerous, but Obama is working to make them far more so.
