US Aggression and the Situation in Mexico

US aggression has forced Mexicans into a life of hopelessness, drugs and underemployment.

Mexican-American War Map (circa 1845)

Aboard Air Force Aleph (Reuters) – Speaking to reporters accompanying Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on his long flight to the United States tonight, Netanyahu spoke of the injustice and hardship Mexicans have endured since American forces annexed Texas in 1845.
“Tens of thousands of ordinary Mexicans were driven out of their homes – the only homes they had known for centuries – and forced to live in poverty and squalor south of the border imposed by American aggression,” Netanyahu said. “The Israeli and Mexican people agree on this: This festering wound will never heal until America takes bold steps to return to the internationally accepted lines of 1845. Clearly the settlement activity that’s taken place in occupied Mexico since then is illegal. When I meet the President tomorrow I will tell him to halt all building activity in Texas immediately. Two lands for two peoples, yes, but not on land taken by force from Mexico,” the Prime Minister said.
Is America to blame for the grinding poverty in Mexico?

Asked if his hard-line stance could hurt the U.S.-Israel relationship, Netanyahu reiterated Israel’s commitment to America’s security and the unshakeable friendship shared by the two countries, then added, “But who was it who said, part of friendship is being able to tell your friend the truth. The ball is now in Obama’s court.”

  1. It's shameful. All Americans should apologize immediately for the sorry state of things inside of Mexico, and depart the western states immediately for the east coast, leaving it for the undocumented mexicans.

  2. The sad thing is we have a lot of numb skulls here who think this is a good idea too.

  3. Lands for peace ... will we ever be forgiven?

  4. Odie- Land for peace would seem to be the only solution to our problem.

Trestin - Yeah, well we simply have our share of numbskulls

Opus #6 - It makes just as much sense here as it does in Israel.

  5. WoFat - The new Mexican mantra will be "no land - no peace". Which underscores how stupid the situation is in Palestine. The radical Muslims in Hamas and now Fatah won't be happy until the last Jew is dead and that's the reality that all negotiations must keep in mind.

  6. When I was in Egypt in early 1967 I was told by numerous Egyptians, "We'll push the Jews into the sea." I said, 'Bring your lunch.' I was right, they were wrong. They're STILL wrong.

  7. To a liberal "the only explanation for success has to be that somehow success has cheated. Success, simply by its existence, is proof positive to the Modern Liberal of some kind of chicanery and likely bigotry. Failure, simply by its existence--no other evidence needed, just the fact that it has failed--is enough proof to them that failure has been victimized." Evan Sayet

Modern liberal doctrine simply cannot accept the success of Israel, nor of the US. Both must have cheated the poor oppressed people out of their heritage. The only evidence? Success.

Still, you have to marvel at the duplicity of leftist rhetoric when talking about either Israel or Mexico.

  8. WoFat - rumors of Israel's demise have always been greatly exaggerated.

Euripides - So I take it that you're not in favor of returning the US to our 1845 borders for the sake of the poor and oppressed? How conservative of you! I'm sure that Mexico will do a much better job of running California, Oregon, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, new Mexico, part of Texas, etc. than the US has done. All you have to do is cross the border to get a very clear picture of what hard work has accomplished south of the border.

I'm happy that the Mexican border guards are so diligent in keeping the Americans from flooding south for the great living and working conditions and the high paying jobs.

And there is a somewhat valid correlation between this whole (farce) situation on this blog post and the situation in Israel.

  9. Can I claim to be a Mexican Zionist - or is that too racist?

  10. Euripides - Nothing is too racist if you're a liberal (Look at the Rev. Jessie Jackson as the poster child). If you're a conservative, you are by nature, a racist, so racist comments are not required to indict and convict.

However Mexicans yearning to return to their homeland is nothing new. In Orange County, California, caucasians are in the minority -- (will they qualify for special government hand-outs now?)

  13. Race - I fear that the day will come when Americans will resort to clawing out caverns to get to the joy, peace and prosperity offered in the Republic of Mexico as they yearn to be free.

NFO - I live in the People's Republik of Kalifornia -- so no, but I get your point.

  14. All will be put right once the United States gives back the West Coast, most of the Rocky Mountain States and parts of Texas, Oklahoma and Nebraska to Mexico; What's left of Louisiana to France; and Florida to Spain. Land for peace makes perfect sense once you have somebody with a progressive spin to their thought process explain it to you conservative cretins.

  15. Considering Germany had to give back all of its conquered territories after WW2, it's unbelievable the USA does not have to - simply devastating that the rules just don't count for the USA.

It's too late now anyway, but interesting to see that the USA once again does not have to pay for the damage it has done!

  16. Germany lost the war.

    The US won.

    That might be the difference.

  17. What about the Mongolians coming down and kicking some Nuevo Mexican ass after the US gives my house to a poor Mexican in reparation for something we had nothing to do with 167 years ago?
My real question is, what happens to all of those poor Mexicans that take the land back and the business owners and tax payers are gone back to the east along with their money? As a small example that can be extrapolated out across all territories; suppose my house is given to a poor Mexican with no skill other than door carving, how will he make the money to pay for the water to keep up the yard? There will be no Barbara Streisand, no Cher, no White devils to buy his fancy doors, no tax payer to give him Food Stamps, who will he be angry with then????
