National Firearms Confiscation Map

No, I don't have a pin map to show you, but look at the 2012 Election Results Map by county.

The areas in red have a very high concentration of firearms in private hands. The blue areas have firearms in private hands too, but the concentration isn't as high. There are a number of freaks in the mainstream media and legacy has-beens like ABC's Sam Donaldson who feel that "fly over country" doesn't matter. It's true that the urban concentrations voted for Barack Obama. He won. Good for him. But there is a vast group of people who feel that the Constitution entitles them to own firearms. Most of them live in the part represented as 'red' on the map.

Historical Precedence:
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?"
"The Organs (government entities) would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” -- Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn (The Gulag Archipelago

Senator Feinstein - Lead the Way

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) would like to see firearms confiscated. I know she doesn't go that far in public, but privately, that would really throw sunshine all over her. I offer Senator Feinstein a challenge. If you want them, why don't you lead the door-to-door charge to take them. There are a lot of red counties in California. Pick one and get started. Take Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) with you in your crusade. Stand on your high ground like Ghandi and disarm your own state peacefully -- but in person. Don't send some police officer to do your dirty work. Show us what you're made of.

President Obama, Firearms Sales Superstar

Why is Barack H. Obama the greatest firearms and ammunition salesman in history? Every time he or his minions declare that they want to restrict firearms ownership, stores can't restock firearms quickly enough. Ammunition becomes scarce because people buy up every last round. It happened when Barack Obama took office in 2009 and it's happening again. I know that to Colt, Ruger, Browning and the other firearms manufacturers, Obama and his ilk are heroes. They keep full employment in the gun and ammo businesses.

Review the Map Another Way

Look at that map once again, and ask yourself why so many people want to own firearms. It's clearly not to commit crimes. If I was going to overlay a high crime map on the country, the highest crime areas would be BLUE not RED. I understand that the inconvenient truth irks our political elite.

  1. I've often been tempted to propose my own gun control legislation. I'd call it Paladin's Law. It wouldn't take 3000 pages and a law degree to spell it out either.

After Paladin's Law is enacted, any liberal gun hater may approach any gun owner face to face at any time and make the statement "I'm here for your guns". Should I choose to surrender them, or the Liberal be successful in obtaining them, then they can hammer my guns into plowshares all they want. The Police, BATF, FBI or any other enforcement group may not participate on either side.

Once the words "I'm here for your guns" is made, for the next 30 minutes both parties are held immune from civil and criminal prosecution for anything they do to each other. This would included my tacking a scalp to my garage door to discourage any further foolishness.

The endangerment of non-combatants (hostages, bystanders, etc) is prohibited. I'll even let the Lib bring their own choice of weaponry - although I'm sure they won't feel like they need it, 'cuz they are good people and guns are evil.

    1. The Progressives have the armor of "being post-Constitutional", thus safe from the gun owning neanderthals based on "new law". The "new law" is disturbingly Orwellian to the red state people, but to them, it's unicorns, flowers and rainbows.

  2. Brilliance is always revealed in simple statements.

Stupidity and incompetence are most often expressed in long meandering flowery oratory.

This post of course was of the first category.

  3. The map shows our national inability to count properly.

    1. In the choicest inner city welfare societies they also count the votes of the dead to insure a continuity of corrupt leadership...

  4. I remember reading online in 2009 that somebody would be happy to give the leftists their ammo. One at a time.

    1. If they come for your firearm you can decide which end to give them.

    1. Yes the red states should be called blue. That was a bit of liberal chicanery. The point still holds that the keepers of the Republic still hold a lot more turf.

  6. There is one group that they try to demonize more than the GOP itself, and it stands alone as one of the most powerful lobbies for the Constitution...support the NRA.

Plus, with a membership, you get stickers and hats...if you're into thems sorts o'things...

    1. Invoking the NRA to a liberal is like showing a cross to a vampire.

  7. In 2009 the number of firearms sold was 14.5 million. Up to that year the average number per year was 2.5 million.

I, like so many here, have had death threats launched against me. I'm an NRA member. Libs, I'll be in the hallway.

  8. I think that 2013 will set new records for firearms sales. For a good reason.

  9. Excellent point, the blue areas are also (coincidentally or not) high-crime areas. I saw the actual number of guns owned in the US recently (I want to say either 100 million or 200 million, I forget) and disarming us is not going to happen.

    1. Navy One - that number seems to be growing. And the more the likes of Sen. Feinstein (who is trying to get her $ numbers up for her retirement because she gets to keep what she doesn't spend in her campaign fund) stumps for elimination of firearms, the more that will be purchased. Instead of Mexicans coming to America, Americans will go to Mexico to buy them (for example). And truth be told, the Mexicans have military grade stuff and most Americans do not.

Even Obama understands that an attempt at confiscation would lead to an unnecessary conflict that he would not win.
