Benghazi Attack - Revisited

Sufyan ben Qumu - Released from Gitmo
FOX News reported Wednesday night that a former Guantanamo detainee named Sufyan ben Qumu (right) has been tied to the September 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans. While the details of Qumu’s alleged involvement remain to be confirmed, it isn’t surprising that his name has surfaced in intelligence circles.

So, to put a finer point on it, we had this terrorist in custody and then we let him go - and while it may shock you - he planned a terrorist attack. Was this act of clemency simply part of President Obama's outreach to Islam? I don't know, but I'm very uncomfortable with this disclosure.
THE WEEKLY STANDARD (LINK) has obtained an unclassified report published in August that fingers Qumu as a key al Qaeda operative in Libya. The report (“Al Qaeda in Libya: A Profile”) was prepared by the research division of the Library of Congress (LOC) under an agreement with the Defense Department’s Combating Terrorism Technical Support Office.

The report details al Qaeda’s plans for Libya, including the growth of a clandestine terrorist network that has attempted to hide its presence. The U.S military has concluded that al Qaeda is in the final phase of a three-step process for developing a full-blown al Qaeda affiliate.
The contents of the report are sure to raise additional questions about the Obama administration's claim that al Qaeda is near defeat, and what administration officials knew about the growing threat from al Qaeda in Libya prior to the attack on the consulate.
The two former Navy SEALs killed in last week's attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi were not part of Ambassador Chris Stevens' official security detail but took up arms in an effort to protect the facility when it was overrun by insurgents (terrorists), U.S. officials tell the Washington Guardian.
US State Department: The two ex-Seals and others engaged in a lengthy firefight with the extremists who attacked the compound", a fight that stretched from the inner area of the consulate to an outside annex and a nearby safe house -- a location that the insurgents appeared to know about, the officials said.
The terrorists knew where the safe house was? This looks like an innocent demonstration gone wrong to me... President Obama wants to 'piss down my back and tell me that it's raining.'  Let's face it, Obama lied because that's what he does most of the time. When he's not, he's stumbling because his teleprompter broke or he is spouting Marxist dogma. His heart is bad and therefore what he does reflects that.
U.S. intelligence believes part of the motivation for launching the attack was a video from al-Qaida leader Ayman al-Zawahiri that surfaced the night of Sept. 10, imploring Libyans to attack Americans in retribution for the U.S. drone strike that killed Libyan-born al-Qaida leader Abu Yahya al-Libi in June.
U.S. intelligence had intercepted and translated Zawahiri’s message imploring Libyans to attack U.S. officials the night before the consulate attack and were still analyzing its significance when the ambassador was killed. No significant changes to security countermeasures at the diplomatic mission were taken until after the compound was overrun. (The Washington Guardian)

Fast and Furious Cover-Up

By now, many of you have heard that Attorney General Eric Holder feels vindicated by the recent DOJ Inspector General's Report.

BUT WAIT A MINUTE - Have you read the report? (LINK)

President Obama's close friend from
Chicago, AG Eric Holder, has been
held in contempt of Congress.
Yes, it's true that the report was damning against Assistant Attorney General Lanny Brewer, who resigned previously and  Jason Weinstein resigned today, but did the Attorney General investigation team interview anyone above Brewer's and Weinstein's rank? THAT WOULD BE A NO. Oddly, both Erick Holder and Barack Obama are also above Weinstein's rank. They weren't interviewed either. Attorney General Holder has been held in contempt of Congress on this matter and President Obama denies all knowledge, and because of that, they weren't interviewed either with the documents that Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) confronted Holder with. The report was damning against the little fish but the big fish swim away. Sound familiar?
Case in point, Chapter One of the report identifies key individuals who declined to be interviewed, significantly including “Criminal Chief [Patrick J.] Cunningham [who] declined through counsel our request for a follow-up interview…We also requested an interview with Kevin O’Reilly, a member of the White House’s National Security Staff, [who] declined our request through his personal counsel.”
Is George Soros Involved in the Cover Up?

Billionaire Obama cronie, George
Soros - Media Matters
Soros, a former self-confessed Nazi collaborator during World War Two is one of those comic book style evil characters (no white cat and no monocle, but everything else) that has had a lot to do with the political ascendency of Barack Obama. His media giant, Media Matters turned out to be the consulting firm that acted as an intermediary for the US Department of Justice.
The Department of Justice and Media Matters corresponded and coordinated on stories about Operation Fast and Furious “gunwalking,” going so far as to disparage the citizen journalist who initially broke the story, Matthew Boyle of The Daily Caller reported today, citing emails obtained from a Freedom of Information Act request to determine the extent of cooperation between the government and the “progressive” advocacy group.
Back to the News:
"The report marked Jason Weinstein, the deputy assistant attorney general for the Criminal Division, as the highest-ranking DOJ employee in a position to stop the program. Weinstein, who disputes the findings, is resigning in the wake of the report.

Another official criticized for not asking enough questions about the Furious operation, former ATF acting director Kenneth Melson, retired after the report came down.

The nearly 500-page report was completed after investigators reviewed 100,000 documents and interviewed 130 people. (Fox News)
...Jason Weinstein told Fox News that he's resigning so as to not "distract" from the department's work...

DOJ and Media Matters coordinated Fast and Furious reports

Keep in mind why Fast and Furious is important. It was the Obama Administration's move to establish a case that American firearms were being sold across the border to drug cartels in Mexico in LARGE NUMBERS to justify a denial of YOUR Second Amendment rights.

Do firearms make their way into the hands of Mexican cartels?

Yes.

How many by percentage?

6-8% of the total.

That wasn't a big enough number for the Obama Administration. There was going to be a heavy push back on their efforts to deprive Americans of their firearms. Thus the Fast and Furious scam was born. And the flag of the ObamaNation (below) was conceived.
