Sodomite Soldiers

"The only traditions of the Royal Navy are rum, sodomy and the lash." -Anthony Montague-Browne (Secretary to First Sea Lord, Sir Winston Churchill)

I find it peculiar that President Obama, who really hates the memory of Sir Winston Churchill, would repudiate one of the greatest men in the last Century with one stroke, and embrace sodomy in the ranks of the US Military with the other. It's one of many contradictions present in the ObamaNation. Don't bother trying to reconcile them yourself. You can listen to MSNBC on any given day and they'll spin it all for you so that you can focus on other things.

I'm not sure whether the term "sodomy" is currently out of vogue. Is it politically incorrect these days? I don't work for the Department of Defense, so I've been overlooked in the briefing zeal to embrace and recognize the joy of homosexuality (I think that word may be a no-no as well) in the ranks. There needs to be a list of politically correct words printed - daily, so that we can know whether to comment, "Ah, look at those two happy sodomites, holding hands." {Referring to watching SSG Bob Smith US Army (Armor) and CPL Jerry Jones US Army (Medical Corps) mince down the hard top together}
Newspeak: "Don't you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought?… Has it ever occurred to your, Winston, that by the year 2050, at the very latest, not a single human being will be alive who could understand such a conversation as we are having now?…The whole climate of thought will be different. In fact, there will be no thought, as we understand it now. Orthodoxy means not thinking—not needing to think. Orthodoxy is unconsciousness." Orwell, 1984
In fact it may not be politically correct to say that homosexual men mince at all. Does "duck walk" sound better and is that ok? {Captain Doe is doing the duck walk today after the rogering that Private Jones gave him last night}

This is President's Day and I was reflecting on President Dwight D. Eisenhower, and how he would view Amerika today. Somehow, I think that he'd have words for the Commander-in-Chief that are not very politically correct.

A friend of mine, currently serving out his last few months of military service commented to me last week that you have to be very careful how you look at sodomites/homosexuals because a 'disgusted glance' is actionable under DOD guidelines.
"It was terribly dangerous to let your thoughts wander when you were in any public place or within range of a telescreen. The smallest thing could give you away. A nervous tic, an unconscious look of anxiety, a habit of muttering to yourself—anything that carried with it the suggestion of abnormality, of having something to hide. In any case, to wear an improper expression on your face… was itself a punishable offense. There was even a word for it in Newspeak: facecrime…" Orwell, 1984
I can't help but wonder what words General George S. Patton would have for the present guidelines that are in operation in his beloved Army. In General Patton's day calling somebody a 'cocksucker' was an insult, not a commentary on their skill set.

  1. Meh, probably a good thing we're gone... We'd probably be up on charges and wondering why...

    1. I wouldn't be wanted under the present system. And I'm not offended.

  2. Let's see; we have a military system that's worked very well for over a hundred years. Wait! I know! Let's change it; who cares about the outcome - we'll feel really good about ourselves. Some of us anyway.

    1. The whole 'sodomy don't bodda me' scenario and making the military more 'progressive' in the Democratic Party sense of the word won't work. It will take years of degradation before it's made manifest because they have to tear down the pillars that hold up the roof.

  3. I think the Brits understand what it means when you tell someone to "sod off".

  4. The Big Lie in all of this is the faulty premise that homosexual expression is akin to race. Homosexuals will bend over backwards (so to speak) to "prove" that having same-sex attraction is genetic, and therefore, homosexual sex should be protected class status under the 14th Amendment. The leap from A to B in the argument is astounding.

    Since Eisenhower integrated the military, I'd be interested in hearing what he'd think of sexual integration.

    1. Eisenhower understood that a racially integrated military was ultimately a stronger military. Promoting homosexuality (here I am using the politically incorrect term) in the military does not encourage cohesion in the sense that is desirable in the military.

    2. Of course it affects military cohesion. Everyone knows it, even the homosexuals. Yet political pressure will certainly make unlikely bedfellows.

    3. I think that I've figured out why the US is promoting homosexuality in the military.

      Atlas Shrugged (the blog):

      Speaker at workshop organised by Global Aspirations says homosexuals would be executed in Islamic state.

      A speaker at a Students’ Union affiliated society workshop said that homosexuals would be executed in an ideal Islamic state, describing the practice of two men kissing as an “atrocity.”

      It's all about making the military less Sharia compliant.

  5. I liked it when homosexuals were in the closet. I have yet to parade around proclaiming my heterosexuality.

    1. Maybe it's time that we do that. Now is the moment in time when the heterosexuals gather together and parade. It would be unique. We could hold signs saying "We're not queer - but we're here". I know that MSNBC would have quite a bit to say about that and we'd be blasted by the entire progressive world as sexists for declaring our preference for women. It's not politically correct to being a blatant heterosexual.

  6. We are living in interesting times....I'm just not interested.

    Just so you know Odie, the DOJ rejected Heterosexual Awareness month...and they didn't think it was funny. Furloughs are on the way for all federal government employees, and the military...but GLBT month is going on as planned, with posters, paid speakers, etc...

    1. In the scheme of priorities, GLBT month needs to move forward as federal employees change their gender to satisfy the coming guidelines. The only problem with that is that there are some guys who will make FUGLY women. Federal employees need to set an example for anyone interested in being progressive.
