2014 Nobel Winners and Losers

(The Guardian) OSLO, NORWAY – Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin will receive the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, announced Nobel Committee Chairman Thorbjørn Jagland in a press conference today. Putin, vacationing at his dacha in the Urals had no immediate comment, but the move was widely anticipated.
Rumors that the prize would be shared by American traitor, Edward Snowden and President Putin turned out not to be true primarily because the Russians gave Snowden the choice between staying in the worker's paradise peacefully -- or being turned over to the American government who would keep him in a prison peacefully for the rest of his natural life. Snowden declined the honor and by so doing, kept his stable of Russian 'brides' and his day job and corner office with the SVR/FSB (successors to the KGB) First Chief Directorate at Dzerzhinsky Square and his expense account.
US President Barack Obama remained buoyant through the whole selection process. According to Obama:
"Putin brought peace to Syria and Snowden actually had to do something to merit the prize. I received the prize after being the president for a month. I didn't do anything to earn the prize and I received it anyway, which is a much greater achievement."
I personally think that President Obama is being modest. He was a community activist/communist agitator in Chicago for several years with Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright before he became president. I'm sure the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded for his work there, combined with the fact that he's of mixed race, even though the Nobel Committee didn't come out and say it.
