LL - The Younger Years

Mesa, AZ, with girlfriend.

Lori's father did stage wrestling (like WWF, before there was WWF) in addition to his day job. He wrestled under the stage name, "The Terrible Turk"...even though he was French, not Turkish. Naturally, I did not fear him because then, as now, I was indestructible.
There was a more famous "Terrible Turk" who wrestled in the late 1800's. Her father was a far less famous wrestler with the same moniker. There was ANOTHER Terrible Turk that I found on a Google search who wrestled in AZ in the 2011 timeframe.
And while I'm at it, happy birthday WoFat.

    1. I was too young to pose much of a threat. However, about two years after that photo was taken, I shot my first deer. Warriors evolve.

  2. LL with dark hair... and rocking that bowtie. And, as usual by your side, she is a cutie.

    1. I only hang with pretty women. It's a curse.

It's funny, John, my self-image (not looking in the mirror) is of me with black hair, even though it went gray and then white at a relatively early age.

    2. I know! I was married to my starter-wife who contributed to most of my gray hair. Combat is nothing compared to a bad marriage.

  3. Thank you for your greeting. I shall live to be 100. Or not.

  4. May have seen him if he wrestled in Denver in the 1960's. Worked security at the old Stockmans Hotel venue, wrestling and boxing.

    1. He may have. I was young at the time and everyone that I knew who knew him his dead now.
