The Cuban Mistress Crisis

(LINK) On CNN this morning, former Ted Cruz communications director Amanda Carpenter and pro-Trump newspaper columnist Adriana Cohen were asked to discuss the two candidates’ ridiculous feud over their wives. As soon as Cohen began speaking, talk turned to...something else.
Amanda Carpenter
“I think we should move on,” Cohen said when anchor Kate Bolduan asked her about the spousal sniping. “Where we should move to is the National Enquirer story that has reported that Ted Cruz has allegedly had affairs with at least five mistresses, including—you’ve been named, Amanda.”
According to the Enquirer, political operatives are digging into rumors that Ted Cruz had extramarital affairs with five different women. The story does not name specific women, but gives a vague description of each. Among these mistresses, the Enquirer’s anonymous source says, is a “hot babe who once worked” on a Cruz campaign.

The Enquirer also published five photos of women with their faces pixelated. The woman on the far right of the lineup appears to be Carpenter.

This blog does not usually engage in salacious gossip, but the extent of the reporting, the CNN interview, and the detail presented (along with an upcoming confirmation from Brietbart) puts it beyond a mere rumor.

The ONLY reason this is news and Barack's homosexual affairs and Hillary's lesbian dalliance with Yoko Ono and Huma Abedin is not, is because Ted Cruz is running as the 'Biblical candidate'. Commentator, Glenn Beck went so far as to say that the Cruz campaign for the presidency is the result of prophecy. Thus his fidelity to his wife, Heidi, becomes an issue.

If he's had five illicit affairs within the past year, it is BLACKMAIL MATERIAL for any other government to use on a potential US president and as such, it's fair game.

There is no way to know whether all of this oppo research is spilling out because (Lovin' Ted) Ted Cruz attacked Mrs. Trump, but people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
Carpenter forcefully denied the claim, with understandable dismay at being accused of an affair on live national television. “What’s out there is tabloid trash. If someone wants to comment on it, they can talk to my lawyer. ” she said.
Now that Carpenter has lawyered-up (a prudent move), we will see where the dust settles.

New story that may be related: from the Washington Post. The rumor is that the payment is hush money that the Cruz paid to Sarah Isgur Flores, a Fiorina staffer, who was also one of Cruz' alleged girlfriends.

  1. Why any woman would willingly have intercourse with Ted Cruz is a mystery to me.

    1. I think that he looks a lot like "Grandpa Munster", and that alone should be a turn-off for many women. However, politics makes strange bedfellows.

    2. Women will sleep with "power" - or someone they perceive as having power.

I will have to say that Cruz is more attractive in person. Not great, but not bad either.

    3. Ted should have the common sense to cage the snake while he's running for office. If he was elected, he could have Sarah or Amanda dip his cigars for him. At this point, it's a different ballgame.

    1. I don't know. I've heard that it was originally Rubio oppo research and I've heard that Trump leaked it. Since Trump's press secretary, Katrina Pierson, is allegedly one of the Cruz Five, he would have theoretically known about it for quite some time. For now, the NEWS will be in a frenetic feeding frenzy. Katrina Pierson denied having intercourse with Cruz -- but ever since Bill Clinton argued the meaning of the word "is" at his impeachment, I will wait to see where this goes.

If Cruz wasn't running as the "pure-as-the-driven-snow" candidate, it wouldn't matter all that much. He could come out and say that he likes women, which is the same preference that Hillary has. So much for that. As it is, Cruz can't afford to be a 'soiled dove'.

    2. I spent a few moments in quiet reflection and was directed by my higher power to Occam's Razor.

Perhaps it's true and has nothing to do with anything other than National Enquirer wanting to make lots of money.

    3. That's my first gut reaction here, too.

  3. ohhh... "Somebody" found a treasure trove of skeletons... If true, Cruz is done. I have never trusted his 'lily-white' attitude, not after seeing the things his 'campaign' has done...

    1. If untrue, Ted and the ladies should make a fortune from the lawsuit. Ted is first and foremost, an attorney.

  5. So, if it has come to this, why not go full broadside and fire the Obama's salami-sucking and Hillary's lick-sistering allegations back that them? It seems no one can cast the first stone in DC now days.

    1. In the case of Barack and Hillary, being homosexual only endears them more to their voting base. If you caught Barack with a sheep - in flagrante delicto - and somebody like homosexual Anderson Cooper did an interview of the naked Obama explaining his strange attraction to sheep, his approval numbers would skyrocket in San Francisco and Austin.

    1. There are a number of men who would be strutting like the proudest rooster in the yard as well... And we don't know if it's true of Amanda Carpenter or the other four members of the alleged 'Cruz Menagerie'. I haven't heard much in the media from Cruz on this topic. I'm sure that he's with his lawyers, trying to decide whether to ignore, deny-deny-deny, or just own it and say that all the women that he's banging are hot. The latter wouldn't go down with his evangelical base very well.

  8. I flat out don't believe it. Prove it to me, or I don't give a sh*t.

It's the easiest allegation in the world to make, all you gotta do is find a couple of young girls who will take some money for national media attention, takes the candidate off message, so that the attacker controls the narrative and just sounds too hard to believe.

It's like calling someone a Nazi. It's the nuclear bomb of rhetoric. The charge is so nasty that charged party has to drop their message, stop talking about what they want to do, and respond how they're not a Nazi.

In both cases it's win-win for the opposition making the charge.

    1. I'm sure that it will come out in the wash. My sense is that some of these women were flings several years ago based on reporting. Or maybe it's all just foul wind?

  9. Do Biblical and candidate go in the same sentence? Oh wait, you mean if they're using holy purity for their own agenda? Cos, when as that ever happened like ever before? Maybe it's because he can speak in tongues very well that he's landing these birds. Or maybe it's just because he's a candidate, you know because they are usually psychopathic narcissists aren't they?

    1. You sound slightly jaded when it comes to people who want to be "leader of the free world"...

Ted does preach holy purity as a tenant of his campaign to be president and he looks to heaven and thanks God when he wins a state primary as part of his ritual. Who could be skeptical of a man like that? Not YOU, Jules, no, say it isn't so.

  10. Well of course it isn't so, I merely jest. It is only the pious, humble, unassuming, virtuous, unmasked pure hearted of humans that want such power and glory.

    1. They're fast to jump, but in the case of "the Cuban Mistress Crisis", there appears to be a situation where the man who gives a sermon every time that he opens his mouth may have sort of a Tiger Woods legacy.

My concern where Cruz is concern, all else aside, is that if this is true it needs to see the light because a president with a secret that damages him the way it would the evangelical Cruz is the grist of blackmail. Did his campaign pay $500K in hush money as the Washington Post suggests? If so, THAT is the problem and not where he did (or didn't) put his pork.
