Cartel Weapons

The editorial staff of Virtual Mirage runs into interesting things all of the time, that the average person might not find interesting... which may be why this blog exists. I became aware that the drug cartels in Northern Mexico are using the .22 Tuason Craig Micromagnum or .22 TCM cartridge in connection with Rock Island Armory and Glock conversions. Those of you who are firearms enthusiasts might find that to be a bit exotic for drug cartels, but they do seem to like this option.

.22 TCM (left), FN 5.7x28mm (center)
.223 Remington (right)
It's a type of wildcat round, created from a 5.56x45 NATO cartridge case, shortened so that the shoulder is about the same length as a .38 Super cartridge, created by Rock Island Armory.

Mexican drug cartels have favored the .38 Super for years because of laws in Mexico. 9x19mm Parabellum and .45 ACP rounds are deemed to be military weapons in Mexico and possession of firearms chambered so, or ammunition carry a higher sentence than a .38 Special or Super, which are not military weapons according to Mexican law. The public can be licensed to carry .38 Super auto, but not 9mm.

A sub variant of the .22 TCM is the 9R. That is the version with a more deeply seated bullet designed for use in Glock 9mm magazines. They fire a 40gr. JHP. The .22 TCM9R is the favored cartridge within that family.

The round, fired from a Glock, fitted with a silencer, is the preferred combination. However, to get it really silent, you need to hand-load the .22 TCM9R to insure that the round itself is sub-sonic. The cartel folks haven't figured that out yet because based on my research, they use factory ammunition.

A Tearful Departure

Good Bye Katie

Rep. Katie Hill (D-CA) resigned from Congress after facing allegations of inappropriate sexual relationships with staffers in her office and on her congressional campaign. Hill, starred in a number of porn movies before taking office, but that conduct continued. She said that she was simply caring for a staffer by combing her hair in the photo (right). Usually people in Congress don't do that at the office and in the nude.
“It is with a broken heart that today I announce my resignation from Congress. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but I believe it is the best thing for my constituents, my community and our country."
Katie Hill (D-CA)
One can only guess how her time was divided every day while in "The People's House", conducting "The People's Business".

We know from staffer statements and from the statements of friends who were invited to orgies at her office in the Capitol that Katie was popular, not only with her staff but with other colleagues in Congress, who shared her bong.

Prior to her resignation, she served (among other assignments) on the House Armed Services Committee, on the Subcommittee on Seapower and Projection Forces and the Subcommittee on Tactical Air and Land Forces where her top secret clearance gave her access to volumes of sensitive information.

Some of her fellow elected leaders in the LGBTQ community in the Democrat Party expressed gratitude that Katie didn't name names before packing her office and heading back to California, where she will be an advocate for grievance groups. She'll also be keeping the money in her campaign war chest, which will be donated to the Katie Hill Charitable Foundation.

The Species

The Species

"Since the days of Darwin, evolutionists have repeatedly had to extend the time necessary for life to have accidentally occurred. Similarly, Marxocrats keep enlarging the amount of money it will take for their lame theory to work. One thing's for sure, it's a dog eat dog world."
The Power Elite   --  At US STATE

If you think the way that the hive mind wants you to think, you could be on the path to membership in the ruling class. Witness if you will that the daily talking points are handed out by Democrats and they are repeated verbatim from podiums, on 'news' (propaganda) broadcasts, and the statements of American legislators. They change every day and you need to be sharp to keep up with the twists, turns and resets. Hillary Clinton enjoyed a close relationship with Russian leaders and oligarchs when she was SECSTATE.

Today, Russia bad. And everyone disliked by the elite is branded as a Russian spy, here to destroy our American way of life.

Freaks and perverts such as Jeffrey Epstein, who catered to the sexual preferences of the great and near great would never be labeled as a Russian. There were too many of the elite who visited his island. Instead, when things got too hot, he was removed from the chessboard, as happens all the time around the Clintons.

America and Ancient Rome

Then and Now

The Roman pattern is the one that scholars study more than most others. The Roman nation turns from a Republic to an Empire. No more will Cincinatus lay down his mantle of power and return to the plow.  In so doing, Rome created a self-perpetuating patrician class that is freed from the demands of labor or higher thought. All of their efforts are concentrated on play and perpetuating the system that made them. It becomes essential to be seen with the right people, all of whom find themselves in an echo chamber, thinking (or pretending to think) alike.  The palaces and mansions of Pompey, buried in ash, now excavated, show the elites cavorting while servants saw to their every need.

The elite class in the US is mirrored in the Roman Patrician class. During the high period/Golden Age of Rome, many of the competent citizens, disgusted with what they saw, leaving for the provinces to make a new life, far from the Appian Way. Reading the history (abbreviated) of the Roman Emperors beyond Augustus and his Pax Romanus shows that they ended in suicide, regicide, or being smothered in a pile of dirty laundry. They seized power alternately with the support of the Spanish Legions, German Legions, Praetorian Guard (several times), usurped, assassinated, occasionally inherited and so forth. And during much this time, there was a Roman Senate seated. Presumably they were elected.

In Rome, the republic was betrayed long before Julius Caesar, but he was pivotal as was Trajan, where the Roman Empire reached its apex in territory and wealth. The transition to empire means the end of meaningful elections. Some argue that the USA is there now, but I think that we are teetering. The FBI coup attempt (or 'insurance policy') is the first we've experienced as a nation but the corrupt, co-opted, lying mainstream media's endless stream of propaganda has served to deflect the moment when the Deep State, working in concert, almost deposed an elected president. As the elite compounds its mistakes in an orgy of failure after failure, spending and borrowing endlessly, they panic because their prerogatives are not safe. It happened in Rome and it is happening two thousand years later.  The same, and not the same.

The Roman patricians called the moral equivalent of the Americans who live in fly-over country, 'clients'. Their relationship with their clients is precisely the relationship of many (but not all) legislators in Washington DC. The client is a pawn who the legislator, acting as the moral equivalent of a of parasite, giving them what they crave: a sense of grievance against the rest of America. Grievance is the handle by which Democrats maneuver these pawns into cultural wars. The Romans perfected the practice. We simply re-invented the wheel. The grievance becomes the source of happiness, and if there is no grievance, it must be fabricated.

In a nation abounding in wealth, employment, food, and peace, finding a grievance that works is a challenge and that challenge is taken up by the best and brightest lawyers in government and the best and brightest lawyers out of government. Working together collaboratively, they create the "reality" that the mainstream media distributes by way of propaganda. The elite refer to themselves as 'stakeholders' and the great unwashed between the coasts are client/pawns.

The client pawns with a remnant of power that the elites did not calculate into their process voted Donald Trump to be president, rejecting the carefully crafted, pre-anointed, and infinitely corrupt Hillary Clinton. Is it any wonder that the reaction, the failed coup, the FBI insurance policy managed by adulterous fools, chatting about their conspiracy through government e-mail servers created such a dust-up among the elites.

And what did President Trump do? He began to downsize the ranks of the privileged members of the bureaucracy (Deep State) and is still doing so. The stake holders in the State Department revolted (as I reported a couple of days ago.

California Tonight

What do California and North Korea have in common?

Bare Steel Shaving (repost from CW)

(link) CW, at Daily Timewaster may be the most experienced (in terms of diverse product knowledge) shaver that I know. Most people who identify as male, shave. But to some extent it's become  lost art. I have reposted his shaving advice here (below) for the benefit of all of you. Maybe there are Christmas gift possibilities among his favorites?

The Shaving Post

So, for years - decades - shaving for me was a "get it done quick and cheap" situation. As fast as I could shave and go on to something else, the better.

Then one day I was cleaning out some old boxes and came across my grandfathers's old gear, and in particular there was his old straight razor - Swedish steel.

That got me started. Could I learn to use it? Sharpen it? Keep from disfiguring myself?

The process began, and after a significant period of trial and effort, reading up on shaving forums, and checking out the gear available of the internet, I was off on a totally unexpected adventure.

At first, and still even occasionally, there is blood, but counterintuitively, the straights cut me nearly not at all. I guess it's the obvious nature of the risk that makes you instinctively more careful.

I had to learn all about sharpening, as only an edge "shaving sharp" will safely get the job done.
Now, I really appreciate a surgical Arkansas stone and a canvas strop. The edge you can create
with those is pretty frightening.

Now shaving is a pleasant ritual. There is no time pressure, and in fact the longer the better, to an extent.

It was amazing how much gear, both old and new, is available. Really quality straight razors were
and still are cheap on the internet, due to high volume and low demand.

Artisan products are everywhere. It's apparently cheap to start a small scale manufacturing business in your garage. The scope and variety of stuff out there to try is mind boggling.

My favorites for today only. In brushes, I favor badger and boar. However, synthetics are cheaper, easier to maintain, and are hugely popular. I guess I'm old school there.

Todays soap favorites. The Siliski Santa's Pipe is a recent discovery, and is for now my go to.
The PAA bay rum is great for Fall, and the Fitjar Islands, from Norway, has a great juniper
scent. PAA doesn't make The Wow Signal anymore, but it's still a great light summer product.

Nearly all soaps these days do a great job of slicking up your hide for the razor. In the old days,
basic hand soap was what they used, but now there's a blizzard of well scented, carefully mixed
soaps that can please any taste.

Cool straights. Second from the top is the grandfather's old Swedish steel.

The yellow Waterville pleases me because the steel is so well carved. I's like sculpture. It was
almost certainly a product of the late 1800's, although I'm 100% sure the handle is more recent.

The bottom one is a Case Red Imp. I picked it up off Ebay for dirt, but when I got it I discovered
that the seller didn't tell that the handle was so warped it was almost a letter "C". I almost tossed
it, but ultimately I bit the bullet and had an artisan I know pull it off and put on a red acrylic
handle faithful to the original. Now it's a noisy but very good shaver.

Same with the blue one second from the bottom. It's a Klas Törnblom, Eskilstuna made, straight,
that came to me with a trashed handle. Steel was still really good so I had the artisan put on a
paua handle. Now, it's a stylish and very high quality shaver.

Finally, the aftershaves. Mrs. CW would have me wear nothing else but the Stirling Gin and
Tonic if she had her way. The Myrsol Agua Balsamica is my latest successful experiment. Good
stuff, and there's a lot of it.

The Proraso Green is foundational - every shaver should have a bottle.

PAA's Immortal Peach is light and sweet, a good summer product. Plus, the ridiculous over the
top marketing that artisan does to sell his stuff is entertaining. Immortal Peach? Oh, come on...
But, should you hanker for a bay rum, that guy has it dialed in. On his site there are multiple
varieties, all winners. See the bay rum soap from him above.

Next week, I'll probably have new favorites. I've got a limited edition soap from Chiseled Face
on the way now that I'm looking forward to trying.

And that's another positive. Most stuff is fairly cheap. Forego the Starbucks, and the money
saved will buy you a nice selection of shaving products to try. Plus no more coffee jitters,
which you really don't want with a sharp steel edge gliding across your throat.

It's a whole new series of skill sets to learn and master. Shaving becomes an experience every
morning, instead of a chore to rush through. The wife loves to participate by offering her opinion
on all the smells. In spite of all the colors and pretty packaging, she thinks it's a manly thing to
shave with a naked razor. That's always a good thing. Naked. Good.

Sunday Sermonette

The Odds

I feel a bit sheepish about laying odds and gambling even as a metaphor on a Sunday Sermonette. However, DRJIM asked what Vegas odds makers had on Hillary running in 2020. Based on the best available information (link) Hillary is a long shot. She's behind Yang... (haha). If she runs. They feel that Donald Trump will win a second term.

Gabbard leads Harris in the Vegas book.
Gabbard: Bovada has her pegged at 70-1, while BetOnline pushed her ahead of Kamala Harris, at 40-1. Bookmakers at both outlets set Harris’ odds at 50-1, which means the California senator’s odds have dipped each week for more than a month.
Then again, depending on who you believe, Gabbard may have the Kremlin pushing her past Willy Brown's old sex puppet

Educating the American Elite

The title is deceptive because the elite of the world send their offspring to American institutions of higher learning. It's completely accurate if you can set aside your cultural prejudice for a moment. Students who study in the US for any period of time begin to absorb "America" even if they are from culturally insular groups in which students from the same socioethnic group hang out together and not with the locals.

There are advantages to attending elite schools, and this would include US Military Service Academies. It is because they reinforce the elite class bond. I'm going to focus on the private institutions of learning because that is where the American elite are spawned to attend. Those institutions have changed over the past fifty or sixty years. Fifty years ago they focused on our common history, on mathematics, on literature and now they don't. Today they chant, they rant, they rally and exude the common glue that binds ruling class initiates (she/he/they/ze) together and usefully distinguishes them from locals during summer vacations by the seashore.

The power elite (everywhere) exists to perpetuate its own privileges. It has been this way since mankind has been mankind. Yale, Harvard and the rest of "Satan's Vaticans" exist for the perpetuation of class and privilege. The reaction of enough Americans to this system, that benefitted only a few was to elect Donald Trump to the Presidency.

In the Middle Ages, priests exercised power over heads of state. Their mantra and their mandate was to promote what was 'correct in the eyes of God'. In our present world, priests have been replaced by lawyers whose mission was and is to guide leaders by what is 'legal' - and if you have enough stroke, you can make anything legal. That's why the current crop of Democrats advocate for a larger Supreme Court, salted with people who will make things that they want, legal.

Climate Change, etc.

Climate Change

Am I a 'climate change denier'? No, absolutely not. The climate changes all of the time. The light from the Sun that strikes Earth is not absolutely constant due to different factors. The Earth itself is not completely stable and historically, it shifts on its axis and what was the pole is now somewhere near the equator, which is why we drill for oil in the Arctic. 15,000 years ago the place where I now live was under about one quarter of a mile of ice. Give or take.
(link) (Updated Oct. 23, 2019) Retired Principal Scientific Officer (PSO) for the British Government exposes “discrepancies” in NASA’s Global Historical Climate Network (GHCN) which serve to make recent temperatures seem warmer.
The “mistakes” point to possible fraud intended to give scientific credence to tax-raising UK and US climate policies.
Wow, faked data intended to promote tax increases designed to combat the climate and change the weather? Really? Who would have thought THAT? So...we're not all going to be dead in twelve years if we don't pay massive taxes and adopt a communist government?

The world is still emerging from the last ice age and the climate, while warming slightly, maybe, is remarkably stable. It's a good idea not to pollute (somebody tell China) and to not litter and to behave responsibly. It's a good idea to be a good neighbor and not to throw trash on your neighbor's land. Fences make for good neighbors.

But we're not all going to die in 12 years and the hoax that is climate change will eventually be debunked completely. By then the Left will be howling about over-population or something else. They seem to shift from one hoax to another seamlessly.

Or maybe the end IS near. Babylonbee offers proof.

Science Friday

Editorial Thank You to Ed B. - It appears that with deft maneuvering with Chrome that I am able to comment on my own blog again.

Friday is a slow blogging day usually. And I'm hurting all over after having chopped/sawed and split/mauled two cords of wood. I need to get a twenty ton ram (gas powered) log splitter next year. That changes the whole dynamic. I'm also trying to decide whether to get more exotic with wood racks or to just pound in a couple steel fence posts and set the wood on lengths of 3" PVC (a favored style here in the Arizona highlands). I constructed a fancy and esthetically pleasing wood rack for half a cord on the covered deck/outdoor living area, but there's no need to store it all there.

I'm hoping to have a mild winter after last year's record breaking snow and cold. But my hopes rarely translate into anything beyond mere 'hope'. Today I'm assembling steel storage racks down the hill in the mine area.

So I thought that I'd link some articles that I've read recently and have found interesting. Submitted for your approval.

Big Squid
(link) A team of divers filmed a rare glimpse of a huge transparent egg sac containing hundreds of thousands of baby squid.

The stunning underwater video was filmed by Ronald Raasch, 48, as he was diving with two other team-members from the research vessel REV Ocean in the cold waters outside Ørsta, Norway.

On October 5, the team of divers was swimming back to shore after visiting a WWII shipwreck about 200 metres from the coast, when they had a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with a mysterious object.

Floating 17 metres below the surface and 15 metres above the ocean floor, was a giant transparent orb which the divers quickly identified as a 10-armed squid’s egg sac.
Neodymium
(link) Physicists from MIT have now provided the first known example of a fractal arrangement in a quantum material.

The patterns were seen in an unexpected distribution of magnetic units called 'domains', which develop in a compound called neodymium nickel oxide - a rare earth metal with extraordinary properties.
Flax

(link) I never knew how Irish linen was made. This video explains the process. Flax and linen farming was one of County Donegal's biggest home industries for centuries. Think of the trial and error that must have been involved in taking flax and turning it into linen.

Should I buy a Pet Wolf?

There is a wolf sales outlet (People breed them) near Tucson, AZ. I'm not ready for a wolf yet, primarily because I still travel, but in my dotage it might be nice to have a wolf. Wolves are -- wolves, and bring their own wolf problems, but if a dog isn't as big and tough as a wolf here, I don't know that they'd survive unless you locked them down day and night.

Cars and trucks hit elk along SR 87 all of the time. Often they result in fatalities. The road crews never haul off the roadkill and I didn't understand but now I know why. The predators strip a dead elk to the bones within three days. Between cats, lions, coyotes, wolves and the buzzards doing the final clean up it's like piraña live in the forest. You don't see people with those little yappy dogs around here and there is a good reason for it. They are simply too low on the food chain. So if I am to have K-9 companionship, I've narrowed it down to a wolf. It's too cold up here in the winter for short hair dogs like pit bulls to be comfortable and it never gets THAT warm.

So I'm mulling it over. Yes, Juliette, I know that you have a pet wolf in bucolic, tame, England. But here, I don't know it there's an option.

Mail

WSF - Romney does have his moments. He stepped in and salvaged the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. I held my nose and voted against the Lightbringer and would do so again. Maybe.

Who I will gleefully vote for again is President Trump. I hope his health holds up for another great four years.

Sate Department? They, along with all civil servants, should recognize they are employees, not "stakeholders". Stakeholders! What a crock!
Many of the State Department people are graduates of Satan's Vatican. They feel that it confers an elite status on them and calling them 'employees' when they are in that self-aggrandizing position insults them and their alma mater.
Fredd said - I, too, voted for Willard Romney. He's taken a turn in his career, and not for the better, IMO. I think we can count on Willard to vote to impeach Uncle Donald, if it comes to that. But I can't imagine another 19 senators will vote for impeachment as well.

Gay state department diplomats? For certain, Richard Grenell (Amb. to Germany) is openly gay and he seems truly committed to the president and the Trump agenda. What attracts gays to serve in this capacity, just curious.
I don't know. The work that they do is neither dangerous or arduous and there are a lot of social perks to being an FSO. They pay is not spectacular, so they're not getting the really outstanding Harvard types. If you're gay and an underachiever, and graduated from the right school, you can join the nest. MOST of them hate President Trump.
As far as Deep State deniers, there is another name for them: leftists, who hate our country as founded. These Deep Staters and the deniers need to be outed, every nasty one of them, fired and left to fend for themselves rather than suck on the federal teat and then bite the hand that feeds them.

Scum, all of'em (I would wish a pox on them and theirs, but that goes without saying).
President Trump (starting with SECSTATE Tillerson) started downsizing the State Department. I participated in some of those early moves as a contractor/hatchetman.  The purge apparently continues. The question of "tell me what you do here?" caused some of them some consternation. A few cried. Slide a paper across the desk, "Write down your schedule for the next ten days" caused some to ask, "Are you kidding?" Some wise ass in Mexico City told me that it was classified. We got through that hurdle with blinding speed and found that he didn't do anything that actually required a security clearance above "Confidential". A pox would help clear out the dead weight. I have a history of working cooperatively with the State Dept. When Heinz needed somebody to behead people (figuratively), John Kerry hired my small firm to handle the discrete nature of the biz. They didn't care about politics. They just wanted things handled right.
Jim - Now I'll have to start referring to Romney as Pierre from here on out. I like that better than Mittens as some have been calling him. Noe Delecto-Danger seems like an inspired pairing for some office. Which one would be best remains to be seen.
I'm not so much into demeaning Mitt Romney as I am disappointed in him. He'll remain a senator from Utah until he doesn't want the job anymore. Just one more deep state type who will work as a closet liberal in much the same way as he operated when he was governor of Massachusetts.

Pierre, the Deep State and the Mail

Pierre Delicto

This past weekend, the Atlantic published an article by McKay Coppins about Mitt Romney. Coppins asked Mitt about Trump's insults.

Will the real Pierre Delicto please stand up?
“That’s kind of what he does,” Romney said with a shrug, and then got up to retrieve an iPad from his desk. He explained that he uses a secret Twitter account—“What do they call me, a lurker?”—to keep tabs on the political conversation. “I won’t give you the name of it,” he said, but “I’m following 668 people.”

By that evening, Slate senior writer Ashley Feinberg had tentatively identified that account, which Romney, had named “Pierre Delecto.” She noted the tweets he had liked, his replies, and who was following him. Romney soon confirmed she was right: “C’est moi,” he told Coppins.

My immediate reaction was, "what an idiot." Romney put himself in the same general class as Anthony Weiner (aka Carlos Danger). I have to admit that I did vote for him against Obama. Today, I couldn't do that. I'ld just have to take a pass on an election where Romney was representing the alternative to a communist or a huckster like Barack. They love him in Utah and I'm sure that they'll re-elect Mitt. But he's just another rich goof that found himself a vanity job in government.

US State Department vs Trump

Career State Department bureaucrats are angry with President Trump and with the situation that they find themselves in. Though it may be homophobic to bring this up, a very significant percentage of career State Department employees are 'gender confused'. State Department Foreign Service Officers, often referred to as FSO's are referred by many as "faggots serving overseas". Today that might be construed to be hate speech, however, that's what almost everyone called them during my era in the rackets.

Not many people are as prissy, as vainglorious, as petty nor as obnoxious as State Department functionaries. Their conduct is legendary. They see themselves as the only true arbiters of diplomatic practice and since President Trump seldom takes their advice, the claws come out.

They’re also enraged that Pompeo gave a speech to the American Association of Christian Counselors and talked openly about the importance of his faith. That, according to Politico, “troubled many diplomats. Who are gay atheists."
William Burns, deputy secretary of State under President Barack Obama, declared in an article in Foreign Affairs said to have “turned heads” in Washington that Trump’s treatment of State Department officials was akin to Sen. Joseph McCarthy’s “savage campaign against ‘disloyalty’ in the State Department.”
Diplomats are fuming because of Trump’s push to cut budgets and staff, and this is “a moment of catharsis.” They declared that Hillary Clinton's legion of security violations and the 30,000 e-mails that were deleted, 'didn't constitute misconduct'. They whitewashed her preparatory to her run for the presidency again.

Trump’s critics say that his claims about a deep state are the result of his paranoid delusions. But after what the country has witnessed over the past three years, and now the bragging by State Department officials bent on getting Trump out of Washington, it’s the denial of the deep state that is delusional.

Jim - I find Tulsi to be the least objectionable of the disaster squad that's the donkey party's candidates.
That's why they hate her, Jim. Not just because you (and I) find her to be the least objectionable, but because she has a mind and is not simply a blend of donkey talking points.
Fredd - What kind of 'natural attrition' would these commissar's (your betters, as you like to call them, and rightly so) succumb to: maybe the scourge of the Old West; 'lead poisoning?'
It's pointless to speculate. There are a lot of rattlesnakes in Arizona, lots of poison critters. The terrain is rough and unforgiving. A graduate of Satan's Vatican is out of his depth flailing around in this country. The carcass can just vanish. Maybe he fell into an old mine? Maybe into a trash compactor? Maybe he is depressed because this environment is so alien and he hangs himself, or hacks himself to death with an axe? Maybe he trips a claymore, and the meat is eaten by buzzards. (The Buddhists call it a sky burial)
LSP - Tulsi's clearly a Russian agent. It's Hillary's patriotic duty to "remove" her.
I hate to admit this, but I've heard that Tulsi once ate a salad with Russian dressing on it. If that doesn't make her an asset of the Kremlin, nothing does. Hillary is going to enter the 2020 race and I'm sure that she's assembling a dossier on Tulsi.
Camperfixer - As for Tulsi, this is all distraction theater...the real Democrat candidate will emerge in the next few weeks. I mean, come on, does anyone really think Biden, Warren, or the other socialist losers has a snowball chance? Theirs is the doofus parade on steroids, all of them trying to out-idiot the others.
Hillary doesn't consider herself a doofus (though the rest of us do). Imagine how it will mix up the line-up at the debates to have that old harridan in the center of the band. And how will Hillary feel if she can't get as much in the polls as Beto or Yang? She'll get desperate and Bernie will have another heart attack.
Kle - "Hillary found a Witch!"

I love the way all the people who are constantly being outraged over the things Trump says and tweets have their mouths zipped tight shut about this deranged spew of vitriol that Hillary aimed at somebody on her own side.

Trump has never even come close to the level of her recent diatribe.

IDK if she took too many meds, too few, or was just posting at the end of a week-long bender, but she sure brought the Real Hillary to the game this time.
She sounded drunk or loaded on the audio interview that she did about the tweet. One too many Singapore Slings? President Trump doesn't drink.
WSF - I'm not saying that Gabbard doesn't like Hillary these days (it's dangerous to write that), but Tulsi would unplug Hillary's support to brew a pot of coffee.

Life insurance up to date?
Tulsi could have a brain aneurism at any time.

Hillary found a Witch!

Russia - Russia - Russia

I know that you're all following the news and the accusations being slung about by Hillary - she who purchased a Russian generated fake dossier on President Trump.

Major Tulsi Gabbard, USAR-R
According to Hillary, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) is a Russian agent, a Manchurian candidate who wants to steal the election, and Jill Stein, who in her role as a Russian agent, stole the election from Hillary. Hillary has engaged in a form of stand-up comedy and her talking points are being distributed on a daily basis to the democrat propaganda outlets that spew them. It's given a real shot in the arm to Tulsi's campaign and fund raising efforts.

The biggest complaint that the left has of Tulsi is that she doesn't read from their talking points. A mind of your own can be a dangerous thing in politics these days. She hasn't accepted 'handlers' from the progressive wing of the party and has scorned The Squad. Based on that alone, who wouldn't conclude that she is indeed a cat's paw of Vladimir Putin. George Soros (who is a white cat and a monocle away from being a classic Bond villain) has not contributed to Gabbard's campaign.

So now, Tulsi has a small inkling about what President Trump goes through every day. It's also interesting that Fox is the only news outlet that has been giving Gabbard a fair hearing.
Gabbard, who endorsed Sanders over Clinton during the 2016 presidential election, responded to her on Friday, calling her “queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party.” Gabbard also said in a tweeted video message on Sunday, “If they can falsely portray me as a traitor, then they can do it to anyone.”
“That’s exactly the message that they want to get across to you: that if you stand up against Hillary and the party power brokers, if you stand up to the rich and powerful elite and the war machine, they will destroy you and discredit your message,” Gabbard said.
While I do not share most of Gabbard's politics, she opposes war in the Middle East in the current framework of Syria and so forth. It's not just Clinton who feels that Gabbard is a traitor to the Deep State's love of endless war and war profits, the Military industrial complex feels that way too.

I'm not saying that Gabbard doesn't like Hillary these days (it's dangerous to write that), but Tulsi would unplug Hillary's support to brew a pot of coffee.

Jim - Luckily for me the school district my daughter went to had rational people in charge, otherwise I may have done something that would have gotten me incarcerated. Of course it's a rural district and the folks around here aren't as likely to put up with that crap.
In California, where my grandchildren live, the liberal BS has sent families into charter schools or a combination of homeschooling/charter schools. California mandates tranny education for all children. They glorify sodomy and it's wrong at every level. One of my daughters, a teacher, commented that they want to teach children about transexual options when they're young enough to not know where babies come from.
Fredd said - Let's give Bernie or Pochahontas a chance at implementing measures that will eliminate class disparities. How bad could it get? Once the proletariat's are cut in on a piece of the pie, you, LL, have to open your White Wolf Mine gates to your brother and sister proletariates, there's plenty of room; I've seen the photos.

You all (what, figure you and yours and maybe 2,000 like-minded proletariates) will be singing Pochahontas/Bernie's praises, arm in arm, swaying to Kumbaya around the campfire.

What could be more idylic? C'mon, let's give them a chance at spreading love, whaddya say?
I suspect that given where it is I live, we will be among the last to be assigned a commissar. And likely they'll need a lot of them because of natural attrition.
WSF - The unruly masses must be disciplined by their betters for their own good, much like children by their parents (we are talking a perfect world here). Can't you feel the love?
I feel a lot of love from Elizabeth Warren, who dances around on stage like an orangutan. Bernie is like a nasty old drunk uncle, who shows up at family gatherings, scolds and shouts. Not so much love for Comrade Bernie. I'm too old for Biden to grope, but I have daughters and grandchildren and while Slow Joe is feeling love, I'm afraid that he'd meet his maker in the process. God can deal with him however he chooses. We have cliffs around here. Beto would likely fall off one while sleepwalking. Kamala, a woman who staked her political career on giving love to men with the power to advance her career is dripping with love - for the right guy. Unfortunately I'd take a hard pass on that. The Butt Guy has love for dudes but I'd take a hard pass on that one too, and associated STD's.
Camperfixer - "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil..."

Who comes up with this crap?
They are your betters, Camperfixer. They're enlightened, and unfortunately for you, you're not. Therefore they have a mission to bring you into the fold - into the big tent...by hook or by crook.
Do these psychotics sit around the [legal recreational] bong and create this garbage from thin air to see how outrageous they can be? Seems so.
They hope that one day, you too will love Big Brother.
This clown [judge] is using the same tactic being employed by the subversive lunatics with their incessant "IMPEACH" cry. Over, what? Nada. But creating something immoral out of nothing is what these whack-jobs do. It's their [stinking] gift.

ALL weekend, every news outlet (Fox included) endlessly and seriously (huh?) discussed the impending impeachment of our President, never once dismissing it as frivolous and totally asinine. Not once (except of course Levin) did anyone showcase how the House Dem’s twisted and ignored the rules and decent decorum to meet their fabricated desired outcome. It's almost like The Chatterers HAD to talk about it solely because a bunch of Democrat losers keep pushing it – dragging folks into their nasty pigsty...therefore it somehow had merit. It’s enough to drive a sane person further into the bunker. (But then again, who would fight back the locust swarm?)

The emperor has no clothes, and these twisted morons have managed to convince themselves that the sexes (it’s NOT gender! Geez!...learn English!) showering together in locker rooms is now "the new normal" therefore fully acceptable…and moral! BUT these same “judges” - talking out of both sides of their dung-filled mouths - can also say a regular male doing something normal, like holding the door open for a gal, is considered offensive and criminal. (see Isaiah 5:20 above)

Time to bring back tar & feathering, and clean house. Let's start with this mentally ill judge, who needs to be run out of town on a rail as an example that societal foundation destruction by the likes of him will no longer be tolerated.

The rational among us clearly see these [now rampant] examples as the debasement of society by a bunch of weak-minded Lefty low-life's as doing the devil's work. There will be a reckoning…I suspect soon.
It would have been so much worse if Hillary had been elected.
Old NFO - Thanks for the link. And yes, Merkel really has NO choice, considering the condition of Germany right now.
Germany is circling the drain due to their Muslim 'guest workers'. I swear, if you wanted a guest worker, why wouldn't you look elsewhere? Just about anywhere is preferable to the Middle Eastern populations when you're looking at the ignorant, impoverished masses with their savage belief systems.
Valueism - I received an interesting reflection from one person living and travelling for years in the east working with computer security. She stated it all in just one sentence that comprised the problem. Muslims have the Inshallah approach and until they start being responsible themselves nothing will happen.
In America, we have Rep. Omar (D-MN), the poster child for Islam, beloved of the left. Everything that comes out of the filthy sewer that she calls a mouth is full of hate, full of class envy and full of hypocrisy. Mohammedans have a toxic culture and as the Germans are learning and as you point out, they are endemically lazy as a class. The millions of shiftless military age Muslim males that Germany took in are ruining Germany to the point where they now have to start shipping them back to their points of origin.
JulesI tell you what, if the boys had been made to shower with the gals at my school then that’d be the boys all unnecessary for the rest of the day!
It’s bloody ludicrous.
If I'd been in Junior High and the administration had been looking for a boy to shower with the girls, I would have volunteered. But I was like that. A giver, a volunteer, no job was too tough for me. And frankly if I'd been in high school, I would have said, "Send me in, coach!"
LSP - One of the best things about modern American socialism is that it's ruled over and directed by multi-millionaires. And the same with China, who knows, perhaps the toiling masses with grow weary of their Mandarin Overlords?
All indications are that Hillary will enter the race. Hillary 3.0. And this time, she assures us all that she will combat Russian meddling.

Inequality in China and the US 2020 Campaign

The promise of communism is that it will make everyone equal. Ok, cynics on this blog will maintain that it makes them equally poor. And while that may be the case, there are not supposed to be classes in a communist country. When you look at the roots of any communist revolution, you see the notion of 'class struggle' at the top of the list of grievances. Just listen to American Communists like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren shout about class inequality.

Yet it's difficult to point to any nation that dallied with communism that didn't end up with a stratified society (all pigs are equal, some are more equal than others). Nowhere is that more the case than we find in the People's Republic of China. Since 1978 the country’s GINI ratings—a system that measures inequality—have gone from highly egalitarian to more unequal than Mexico, Brazil, and Kenya, as well as the United States and virtually all of Europe. In avowedly socialist China, roughly 1300 individuals constitute roughly 20 percent of the country’s wealth, and top one percent roughly one-third of the national wealth. At the same time, much of China is too poor for a bird to crap on.

Where will this class struggle lead?

I'm not reading tea leaves here, but the Communist Warren and Sanders campaigns promise to do to America what Mao did to China (where about 50 million died in the Cultural Revolution).

The more authoritarian the model, the more unequal the situation as apparatchiks are rewarded.

I can recall a Democrat Party that supported organized labor and was the party of the working men and women. It hasn't been that way for a long time.

Savages

Old NFO's blog had an interesting discussion about women in Islam. To me, it underscores why savage people from savage lands should not be 'blended' in a multicultural society. Apparently the Germans now agree with me.
Speaking to a meeting of young members of her Christian Democrats (CDU), Merkel said allowing people of different cultural backgrounds to live side by side without integrating had not worked in a country that is home to some four million Muslims.
“This (multicultural) approach has failed, utterly failed,” Merkel told the meeting in Potsdam, south of Berlin.
The debate over foreigners in Germany has shifted since former central banker Thilo Sarrazin published a book accusing Muslim immigrants of lowering the intelligence of German society.

Extreme Confusion and Self Loathing

(link) You can't make this up. Always, a brand of menstrual products, has been forced to scrub the “woman” symbol off their packaging in response to a coordinated effort by transgender activists to punish the brand for “discrimination” against transgender individuals.

I don't know why these companies continually cave to the freaks and misfits, but they certainly do.

It doesn't matter how hard they transition, male DNA remains male DNA and female DNA remains female DNA. Smearing lipstick on a guy doesn't make him a woman.

I realize that the tranny lobby would like to have their own custom DNA, but it's a 'pipe dream'. They can bugger themselves to death if they want to, and I don't care if they do. But it won't change biology and changing the packaging of female menstrual products won't do anything to make them feel better about themselves.

Adventures in Kurdistan

I've been listening to a throng of people in the pay of the Military Industrial Complex whining about Syria and the Syrian Kurds. Let me frame it this way. They feel that it’s okay for American troops to occupy forcibly and over their objection, the territory of a sovereign nation with whom we are NOT at war.

They are advocating not just American Imperialism, but Imperialism by presidential fiat! We allied with the Syrian Kurds to win back predominately Kurdish cities in Syria. We did not ally with them to fight the Turks in their continuing fight to wrestle territory away from Turkey, our NATO ally, (and Syria) to creat a Greater Kurdistan. The Kurds understood that.

Their position endangers not only the lives of US servicemen in Syria, but the 3-5,000 American servicemen in Incirlik and Zamir, Turkey, who would logically and easily come under attack with we went to war with Turkey. They would have American forces deployed in Syria in penny-packets and sandwiched between the Turkish Army, Turkish militias (who are barely controlled by Ankara), Kurdish militias, Assad’s Syrian forces, and Iranian Shiite militiamen (who hate Americans). What could possibly go wrong?

They have yet to define a critical American national interest that justifies putting Americans in harm’s way on the ground in Syria. It is that type of thinking that has gotten us into numerous unending wars in Southwest Asia at the cost of thousands of American lives and done nothing but destabilize the region and get ten of thousands of inhabitants killed.

They have not addressed the problem of Turkey seizing the American nuclear arsenal at Incirlik and becoming a de facto nuclear power and the issues that would raise in the Middle East. No one wants to discuss that possibility.

Fredd said - I was wondering what happened to the Epstein thing. Of course the lead investigator died (of natural causes at age 50), because when you start poking into stuff like that (Vince Foster), the malfeasants of the matter will call in some chits, and you are gone.

We have been a banana republic for quite some time, now.
I'm tired of 'civilization'. It's way over rated, Fredd. The Clinton Dead Pool may soon include Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI). It may go down as a suicide since Hillary denounced her as a Russian spy.
I think that it's only the Clintons who can take out an insurance policy with the corrupt FBI. It wouldn't be seemly for Gabbard to do so.

raven - Thanks for the Mexico info- it is hard for a normal guy working a normal job to really get a sense of the utter jungleness of it all. Mao was right. Power comes from the barrel of a gun. And that is why they want to take them away.
Firearms and ammunition in the hands of trained people is our only hedge against tyranny. Even if they are never used in that way, there remains the potential. And it keeps the communists and traitors up at night.
Fredd weighs in again - Mao was right about a lot of things, and unfortunately Mao was not exactly a glass half full thinker. Quite the opposite. And now we have Mao's evil twin Xi calling the shots in China. Literally.
Mousey Tongue died but left a legacy of despots.

Camperfixer - "Detective Who Led Epstein Investigation Died After “Brief Illness” At 50"
He lived a full life. Two score and ten. That's actually a long life for a Clinton/Epstein associated person.
Uh huh...[All we hear from the MSM is: "Nothing to see here folks, move along...go back to watching the Kardashian's and yelling "IMPEACH TRUMP" at your screen.]

Another one added to the Clinton hit list...that's somewhere around 54 (that we know of). Reminds me the scene in the movie Dave:

Bob Alexander: I'm going to kill him.
Alan Reed: You can't kill a President.
Bob Alexander: He's not a President. He's an ordinary person. I can kill an ordinary person.
Alan Reed: Bob.
Bob Alexander: I can kill a hundred ordinary people.

Anyone with two operating brain cells sees the smoke/fire scenario operating yet NOTHING happens. Forget to pay your parking tickets and the SWAT team shows up at 3:00AM. But for murder...ahh...not so much. Enough to drive an "ordinary person" nuts. [As I comment from an undisclosed semi off-the-grid location in case I type in the wrong trigger keyword.]
If you're elite, you can kill whoever you want to. If you're not, jaywalking can get you killed if Hillary or a Kennedy is on the highway and nothing will happen.
Fredd and Camperfixer obsess on the movie DAVE, which was good but not nearly as good as Wag the Dog.
Fredd - I loved that movie ("Dave"). I think Bob Alexander should run for president. Oh, that's right...
Camperfixer - Seriously great lines from that one...but they were supposed to be fiction. Now we are hearing things massively worse from the Lefty morons.
Bob Alexander: This is mine, Alan. All mine. I made him, I built him. And no Boy Scout is going to come in here and take it away from me, just because he happens to be Vice President of the United States.
Or this classic (said with total disdain):
Bob Alexander: What do you think you're doing?
Dave: What? Oh, you mean the press conference. I had a couple of ideas that I wanted to share with the country.
Bob Alexander: Share? Share? You don't call a press conference. I call a press conference. You're nothing. Do you understand? You're nobody.
Dave: I'm not nobody.
Bob Alexander: You're LINT! You're a FLEA! You're a BLIP!
Dave: Well... maybe I am. But you're fired.
Seems Trump does this regularly (the firing part). Gotta love it!
Conrad Brean: 54, 40 or fight. What does that mean?...Remember the Maine...Tippecanoe and Tyler, too...They're war slogans Mr. Motss. We remember the slogans, we can't even remember the fucking wars. Y'know why? Cause its show business. That's why I'm here. Naked girl, covered in Napalm. Five marines Raising the Flag, Mount Suribachi. V for Victory, Y'remember the picture, fifty years from now, they'll have forgotten the war. Gulf War? Smart bomb, falling down a chimney. Twenty five hundred missions a day, 100 days, one video of one bomb Mr. Motss. The American people bought that war.
----------------
Brean: Let me ask you a simple question: Why do people go to war?
CIA Agent Charlie Young: I'll play your silly game.
Brean: Okay. Why do people go to war?
Young: To ensure their way of life.
Brean: Would you go to war to do that?
Young: I have.
Brean: And if you went to war again, who would it be against? Your ability to fight a two-ocean war against who? Who? Sweden and Togo? That time is passed. It's over. The war of the future is nuclear terrorism, and it'll be against a small group of dissidents who, unbeknownst perhaps to their own government, have... blah blah blah. To go to that war, you have to be prepared, you gotta be alert, the public has gotta be alert. Because that is the war of the future, and if you're not gearing up to fight that war, then eventually the axe will fall, and you're gonna be out on the street. You can call this a drill, you can call this job security, you can call it anything you like. But I got one for you: You said go to war to preserve your way of life? Well, Chuck, this is your way of life. And if your spy satellites don't see nothin', if there ain't no war, then you can go home and prematurely take up golf, my friend. 'Cause there ain't no war but ours.

Charming China

Headline: 'Think of your family': China threatens European citizens over Xinjiang protests
Two days after Abdujelil Emet sat in the public gallery of Germany’s parliament during a hearing on human rights, he received a phone call from his sister for the first time in three years. But the call from Xinjiang, in western China, was anything but a joyous family chat. It was made at the direction of Chinese security officers, part of a campaign by Beijing to silence criticism of policies that have seen more than a million Uighurs and other Muslim minorities detained in internment camps.
China's solution for dealing with indigenous Muslims inside of China is simply to put them into labor camps if they step out of line in the smallest degree. I think that they're considering that solution for Hong Kong as well since that 'province' is stepping out of line these days. Beijing is stuck internationally with the Hong Kong Basic Law until 2047 (one country, two systems) and I'm sure that Beijing is weighing its options on whether it's better to turn Hong Kong into a giant gulag or not. Clearly, the Hong Kong situation will be embarrassing during the 2022 Olympics in Big China if they're not able to figure something humane out. Boycotts are not off the table and neither are protests in Olympic venues.

China stands alone in its charming solutions to political problems. Muslims don't tend to be very charming either, so you can argue that China is finding a "way forward". Deporting all of the Uighurs would be possible for China if anybody else wanted them. But as we've learned with Saudi Arabia, Iran, and other sand nations, they don't want Muslim refugees, and will not take them. Maybe Germany will take a few million unhappy Chinese/Muslim people? And with no BREXIT, they could move on to the UK if they don't like Germany.

Historical Thailand

There is always a desire to build a time machine in syfi art that will take you back in time, to a better place.

The shark tooth dinosaurs ran Thailand in the past. The climate was different then, and I think that people can lay all that at the feet of the Siamraptor. The climate changed and they all died off.

In its prime some 115 million years ago, Siamraptor would have been roughly the size of a Greyhound bus at nearly 30-feet long and tipping the scales at over 3.5 tons. Its jagged teeth measured up to 8 inches each, perfect for munching on a menu of fleshy primeval creatures. If they had become vegans, who knows what paradise of perfect weather would have awaited them.

Mexico

WSF - Mexico! Thank you, but I will keep my memories from the 60's and never set foot in the place.
It was fun - once. Not anymore.
Paul L. Quandt - Your sermonette makes me think of that " obsolete " document which begins " When in the course..."
We may have to revisit all of that, should the communists take power in America. Not today though. Thank you, President Trump.
Jim, on courageous politicians - I see that ol' AMLO decided that turning that guy loose was the proper course of action. If the border's not controlled something similar happening in LA or elsewhere is a matter of time. Governor Newsome will undoubtedly show the same level of courage as the authorities below the border.
We are truly living in The City of Brass
joetote - I'd like your thoughts on what Jim refers to above.

Jim mentions the fact that it's only a matter of time before these things start happening in LA and elsewhere here in the states.

Seeing as there have been many reports of not only the Cartels crossing the border and causing trouble, but in fact the Mexican military taking action within our borders without retribution, can't one argue that we are already being invaded by them?

Newsome and these other sanctuary idiots have already opened the door but worse, we do not respond when they cross the border. Can I assume the Border Patrol and military have their hands tied as to taking action when provoked by what in effect are invaders?
I have two thoughts on open borders. It's true the the drugs and illegal aliens can cross, but so can the cartels with really good quality US and foreign made, military grade weapons for sale. Of course, there are hundreds of tunnels under the border so even with the big beautiful wall, high value items can still make it through. So when it comes to Second Amendment issues, the cartels can supply better firearms than you can buy over the counter at the local gun store. The Democrat morons don't get it, but who would expect them to? For every bolt action firearm that Beto's Monkeys would seize, a hundred M-4's with suppressors would come north across the open border that he yearns for. Squad Automatic Weapons and M-60s are readily available in cartel inventories. They also have an ample supply of M-2's.
When I lived in a very affluent neighborhood in SoCal, I had Hollywood celebs living there, and other notables  There were three homes used by cartels to move drugs (up) and money (south) within a quarter of a mile. I knew about them because knowing that sort of thing is what I do. (I have very few skill sets but that's one of them) Try as I would, I couldn't get the locals or USGOV to do anything about it. This is after I got out of the law enforcement biz and moved onto other rackets. Nobody did anything. I provided timely, accurate, fully vetted, information and - nothing. So I just said to myself, "self, time for me to go." Then the Mohammedans built a mosque down the street and I said, "time to get serious about this." Now I live at the White Wolf Mine, an hour's drive from the nearest store.
Once you really understand how cartels move money and drugs, it's even more disconcerting and even more pervasive than you or anyone would think.  I've discussed that process at length on this blog over the past decade or so that it's been up and running. Suffice to say, it can be stopped, but it requires the will to stop it. Cartels are not as organized as most people think. They exist to fix the price of street drugs primarily. That's why when the local police seize twenty tons in Los Angeles, the price remains the same. No impact on price, or volume available on the street.
The cross-border drug business is not an invasion now. It's American infrastructure. And anyone who would tell you differently is a liar or a fool.
RHT447 - I recall an incident many years back that involved an incursion into U.S. territory involving Black SUV's and some of our folks taking small arms fire. Someone at the time lamented words to the effect of "What ever should we do?". My suggestion was to try pulling the trigger on an M-1 Abrams main gun, and further that SUV parts raining down on the Mexican side might make the point rather well. But, that's just me.
The US continually walks a straight razor when it comes to Mexican sovereignty. The Mexicans aren't a vassal state of America, and we could conquer Mexico before lunch militarily. But then you get into a 'broke it/bought it' scenario. The narcos are painfully aware of what an American military occupation of someplace like Sinaloa would look like and that it wouldn't go down well for them. But full disclosure, it would take more than just Sinaloa. All of Mexico is in the same boat, and it's all corrupt and US narcodollars made it so. I know that a lot of Americans don't agree with that, but it is our insatiable desire for more drugs that has created this situation. Our moral rot. They're just the pusher. Which means that a solution would require Americans to abjure drugs (hahaha).
Fredd said - "Justice in Mexico?" What a headline. Why not "Sumo wrestlers crash Weight Watchers Meeting," or maybe "Quasimoto a Finalist at the Miss World Competition."

Mexico is essentially a failed state, but it exports a bunch of stuff to the U.S., namely drugs, terrorists and sex traffic. There is no hope for that country, whose corruption goes back 100's of years, as compared to our corruption which came to a head when Barack Obama took the Oval Office.

That, and they hate our guts, and have since the first shots were fired quarreling over Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, parts of California and a few other disputes over the centuries. Nobody in Mexico; nobody in government, in the narco business or the general public, NOBODY in Mexico wants anything good to happen to the U.S. Nobody.
The US is their market for drugs (above), for produce (and Mexico is an agricultural country), and their guarantor of security (Monroe Doctrine).  They hate us and they can't survive without us.
Back when I was running and gunning heavy in Mexico, I leaned on the Mexican Navy to put a torpedo into a drug submarine that was making the run between Mexican and US waters. The submarine was crewed partially by Russian mercenaries, and ran Sinaloa cartel loads. It had to snorkel most of the way because it was in ill repair and would have been an easy target. But they didn't do it because they feared narco-retaliation. I blaggarded them for cowards, but they explained patiently that their families were targeted if they did anything like that. Horrible place to live, Fredd.
bobbookworm - Janet Napolitano, the former Dem governor of AZ, was a real 'close' buddy of Fox. Ya gotta' wonder how her retirement fund did in those years.
I don't know whether she was on the payroll or not. And you know that I'd paint a scarlet letter on her if I knew that she was.
Fox signed the peace treaty with the Zapatistas in my office in Santa Ana, CA. It was done with very little fanfare, no media present. I think that it was 2001. Vincente Fox was banging Miss Mexico, Jacqueline Bracamontes, at the time and she was along for the signing. You can't fault his taste in women. Fox was first and foremost a horn dog. His wife, Martha, handled most of the corruption. In that he was an old time Mexican politician, and possibly the last one to occupy the Presidential Palace. Just because Fox schmoozed did not mean that there was a pay off.
Beans indicts - Lack of overt corruptness in Mexico is the rare exception to the constant overt corruptness exhibited in Mexico since, well, it's founding.

Let's recap.

Texas formed due to Mexican corruptness.

California formed due to Mexican corruptness.

Black Jack Pershing got to play with planes and horses while taking care of Mexican corruptness.

Whole movie and tv franchises made tons of money dealing with a character fighting Mexican corruptness, Zorro by name...

Seriously. Mexico has been a 'failed' state since for ever. Anyone who believes otherwise is bordering on delusional.

As to McRaven, he's hitched his wagon to the Hillary/Obama/Soros train. So he's hoping and praying that the deep state wheels don't come off. The rest of us are hoping that he'll go down with the whole lot of them.

Mayhaps the God-Emperor (as seem in Italy, no, really - here's a link https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-warhammer-statue-italy-god-emperor-warrior-twitter-parade-a8787116.html ) and his forces will finally use the sledge-o-matic against the deep state derps. We hope.
There is supposed to be a third Siccario movie in the works. The first two played like documentaries. You could include US politicians in it. Maybe AOC could play herself?
LSP - Serious question, do you see a solution to the narco problem? I know, the Wall, more power to it, but beyond that. Just asking and expecting "no."

That said, couldn't we simply take them all out, with "extreme prejudice"? How long would the op take, a few days, a week? I know it won't happen but curious about the hypothetical.
I discussed that above. It would require the American people to give up hard drugs. Maybe if Jesus were to return and kick ass? Other than that, I don't see a solution that is in the slightest way meaningful.
Ed - Thanks for the McRaven info.
That explains that.
As an aside, when I read Seven Days in May as a Kid, it took seven days.
This coup is on 3 years already.
The plotters and traitors thought it would be easy. Fortunately for us there were a few patriot in the mix, particularly at NSA, who called them on it. We owe debts of gratitude to them. And now that I'm back, we can work on the Chrome project.
LindaGI feel for the leaders; but good on Trump for messing with the media.
I wasn't aware just how messed up Mexico is. I hope we can control that - or stop it from coming here.
Too late, Linda. It's here. It's just not so readily seen as it is in Mexico.
Old NFOMexico is... Mexico. Not much else to say. We could have ended the 'war on drugs' a long time ago, but the will of Congress et al to actually DO it has been sadly lacking. Those plans have been sitting on the shelf since the late 70s. G7 at Camp David? Oh hell yes. Limited media, no way for the protesters to get there, etc. :-)
Yes, there are advantages to Camp David. And President Trump can commute on Marine One.
DanMexico is a FAILED STATE....and has been for decades. The truly terrifying thought is the commie left in America is working VERY HARD to IMPORT those people and that mentality to America in vast quantities. As for the "War On Drugs".... lets call it what it REALLY is. The War On Freedom. Because that is the real motivation behind all the preening and posturing. It's just another excuse to trash the Constitution and rape the corpse of The Bill Of Rights.
My take on the "war on drugs" is that it's window dressing for people, who don't care much about it. Propping up Mexico/Colombia, etc. was always more important from a geopolitical perspective than limiting the supply of narcotics at home.

G-7 Summit

Camperfixer - G7 and Camp David...This is the President putting them all on notice that he's in charge...total boss move (besides it only makes strategic sense). And by all appearances he's just getting rolling. He's somewhere in the vicinity of five steps ahead of his opponents...who in their self-important arrogance believe they are playing him. Trump is selling the Dem's the rope they will all hang themselves.
Yes, I've noticed that President Trump plays chess and his enemies, including Hillary (The anointed one who had the election stolen...) play checkers.
