The Next US President

I have no idea who will take barack hussein obama's place in the White House in 2012. I seriously wonder if he will be able to obtain his party's nomination to run in 2012. I think Hillary Clinton stands a better chance.

There are a number of Republican possibilities out there. I doubt Mitt Romney or Sarah Palin will end up being dubbed by the Party. Maybe one of the US Army generals? There has been loose talk to that effect.

One of the people in Congress who strikes me as a consistently conservative guy, a rational leader (rare in Washington) is Rep Mike Pence (R-IN).

Arizona Politics- Pamela Gorman

Just when you were thinking that all female politicians were ugly, chain smoking, pseudointellectual, parasites, who spent their lives trying to find new and innovative ways to spend your money, a new generation arrived. Sarah Palin led the way and made it acceptable to be pretty, pro-life, pro-gun and anti-big government.

Arizona answered the call. Pamela Gorman is running for Congress in Arizona's THIRD Congressional District.

What's not to love about a woman like that?

Can the US bring Order to the Border?

The objective is to bring order to the US/Mexico Border. That means that the border needs to be closed to illegal immigrants. The key word here is ILLEGAL.

Governor Brewer met with representatives of the barack hussein obama regime today (video below)

Talking Points:

  • The US Government is providing double the money to the Republic of Mexico that they have offered to the State of Arizona to deal with out-of-control illegal immigration.
  • The US Government offered to incrementally add National Guard troops to reach a peak of 524 National Guard troops for 120 days (in about a year from now). Those troops will not take the field, they'll monitor cameras in a surveillance support role. After the deployment peaks, the numbers will drop.  (** The US Government has 100,000 soldiers deployed to Afghanistan)
  • Sen. McCain requested 6,000 National Guard troops for the entire US/Mexico Border, of which, 3,000 would be deployed to Arizona. That plan was nixed by the White House.
  • The US Government will repair (not build) 22 miles of fence along the US/Mexico Border.

What can we do to bring order to the border when the US Government refuses to do anything but provide lip service?

Meet Ruth McClung (Courageous American)

Ruth McClung is a candidate for the US House of Representatives from Arizona's Seventh District.

I'm proud of Ruth McClung. Her opponent is incumbent Raul (formerly Ralph) Grijalva (D-AZ) who has actually called on the rest of the country to boycott his own state for attempting to enforce federal immigration laws through Arizona SB1070. Grijalva presides over an extensive political machine, which with the help of Tuscon's rather strange voter base has supported him faithfully in the past.

As you might expect, Ralph/Raul
is in lock step with barack/barry.

If you have money to support a candidate, consider sending it to Ruth McClung.

Obama = Broken Promises

Governor Jan Brewer from Arizona appeals for the United States to act to protect US Citizens from dangerous illegal aliens.

barack hussein obama has a few signs put up as close as 30 miles from Phoenix warning Americans to stay out of territory claimed by drug cartels and alien smugglers. Progressives claim that the President of the United States of America had signs put up to warn US Citizens that entering "alien occupied America" was dangerous. How can I argue with the president's logic? Look at that photo - a caring president, and some would say, a face that expresses the essence of hope and change.

It actually is a big change to have a US President cede US Territory to the control of organized crime cartels openly and without any effort to oppose them. Are these organized crime thugs the people who will seek amnesty in the US if obama has his way. My sense is that they are. That's the change I can believe in!

Is Janet Napolitano LYING to us?

HOW STUPID does the United States Government think the people are? Please don't answer that because I think that I know the answer and it's insulting.

Message to Governor Brewer

I understand that Governor Jan Brewer wants the Federal Government to rubber stamp and pay for Arizona National Guard forces who will be deployed along the US/Mexican Border. However, they are State Troops and fall under her command. She can order them without federalizing them. Yes, there are big budget problems in Arizona, however, she can do it without a by-your-leave from barack hussein obama.

Higher pay for illegal aliens!

There are some who have suggested that we at Virtual Mirage do not give enough time on the blog to the radical left.

WE are sick and tired of illegal aliens
receiving low pay!

Look at barack hussein obama's aunt Zietuni. Don't you feel she deserves a free ride? (it would be too much to expect for barack hussein obama to pay for her upkeep personally)

It's gratifying to see our federal government to step up their efforts to prosecute those who don't pay
illegal aliens enough - while they swear they won't prosecute those same employers for hiring illegal aliens. Dept. of Labor Secretary Hilda L. Solis has shown the way forward! The federal government will ignore illegal immigrants in the work place in violation of federal immigration laws.
Pursuiant to the Federal Immigration and Nationality Act Section 8 USC 1324 it is 'illegal' to both knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions and assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization.
Welcome to Amerika - the Hope and Change promised by barack hussein obama.

McChrystal vs Obama

I do not purport to understand General Stanley McCrystal, US Army as we have never met. However, since he occupies a critical position in the US Military and is one of our most competent generals now in the field, I believe it's time that we take a look at the current conflict between General McCrystal and barack hussein obama (and the obama regime).

General McCrystal is known as a man not given to foolish blanishments or political banter. He is plainly spoken and, he's obviously frustrated with the unqualified buffoons who are giving him orders from the White House. He gave an interview to Rolling Stone Magazine, knowing that they'd run with it. Other parts of the mainstream/state run media might not have. So, one may say that McCrystal chose well, when he picked Rolling Stone.

“We ran everything by them in the fact checking process as we always do,” the Rolling Stone editor said. “They had a sense of what was coming and it was all on the record and they spent a lot of time with our reporter so I think they knew that they had said it.”
The people who run the United States are not qualified to run a doughnut shop (not McCrystal's words, but mine). McCrystal and his staff are some of the best professional officers our military has ever produced. To put them under the aegis of Vice President Joe (Slow Joe) Biden, National Security Advisor Jim (Clown) Jones and others must be something that they're simply fed up with.

After the interview was published, and McCrystal got his message out, he apologized:

"I extend my sincerest apology for this profile. It was a mistake reflecting poor judgment and should never have happened. Throughout my career, I have lived by the principles of personal honor and professional integrity. What is reflected in this article falls far short of that standard. I have enormous respect and admiration for President Obama and his national security team, and for the civilian leaders and troops fighting this war and I remain committed to ensuring its successful outcome.” ---General Stanley McCrystal, 6/22/2010

The magazine portrays General McCrystal as standing alone in fighting the war against the barack hussein obama regime, who is not serious about waging a war in Afghanistan. The Rolling Stone piece claims McChrystal has seized control of the war "by never taking his eye off the real enemy: The wimps in the White House."
Asked by the Rolling Stone reporter about what he now feels of the war strategy advocated by Biden last fall – fewer troops, more drone attacks – McChrystal and his aides reportedly attempted to come up with a good one-liner to dismiss the question. "Are you asking about Vice President Biden?" McChrystal reportedly joked. "Who's that?" "Biden?" one aide was quoted as saying. "Did you say: Bite me?"
Will barack hussein obama sack General Stanley McCrystal when they meet tomorrow? I doubt it. Unless the teleprompter tells obama that he must. I expect that obama may offer the General advice from his years of community organizing on the mean streets of Chicago, and will then send him on his way.

Alvin Greene's Primary Win due to RACISM?

The Los Angeles Times (CLICK HERE FOR FULL STORY) fielded a piece today that deserves exploration. It deserves to be read in its entirety but due to fair use and copyright, I'm only going to pull a few excerpts here for your consideration.

Scroll down on this blog to earlier posts this month if you don't know who Alvin Greene is, or what's going on with his primary win as the Democratic nominee for US Senate in November.

In a nut shell, last week, voters in South Carolina's Democratic primary for U.S. Senate selected a politically unknown 32-year-old unemployed man who is almost incoherent in TV interviews and is facing felony obscenity charges for allegedly flashing pornography at a University of South Carolina student. There are plenty of videos in the previous posts. Essentially, Greene can't walk and chew gum at the same time. There are other politicians on Capitol Hill who can't either and they enjoyed long and distinguished careers in politics -- but Greene may be too much of a cretin to even follow in those footsteps.

House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) has been fronting a conspiracy theory that Greene is a Republican plant — LA Times wrote,
"The theory goes that he was recruited by GOP operatives who wanted to ensure a clear field in the general election for incumbent Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.). That's not implausible; it's unclear how the destitute Greene, who collects unemployment checks and lives with his father, came up with the $10,400 needed to file for the ballot, and GOP operatives are frequently accused of exploiting racial splits in the state's Democratic Party by helping black candidates run against white front-runners. Greene is black, while his Democratic primary opponent, former judge and state lawmaker Vic Rawl, is white."
Is it an issue of race?
More from the LA Times: "South Carolina's white conservative political elite wastes few opportunities to reveal shockingly antebellum racial attitudes, such as the time last year when the former chairman of the state's Elections Commission posted a comment on Facebook likening First Lady Michelle Obama to an escaped zoo gorilla, or the op-ed in an Orangeburg newspaper written by two former Republican Party county chairmen suggesting that DeMint was as parsimonious with taxpayer money as a wealthy Jew. Or the comment from state Sen. Jake Knotts, who earlier this month said of GOP gubernatorial candidate Haley (who is of Sikh ancestry), "We already got one raghead in the White House, we don't need a raghead in the governor's mansion." We could go on, but we've got space constraints.
And now to get to the point that the LA Times is trying to make: would hardly be surprising if some black voters put racial identity ahead of a candidate's qualifications...and if nothing else, the travesty of Greene's election shows that some interracial bridge building is overdue in the Palmetto State.
I think the LA Times, liberal rag that it is, hit the nail on the head. Black voters voted on the basis of race over any qualifications the candidate might have. The barack hussein obama presidency isn't a referendum on race, but he made race a big part of his candidacy, playing on white guilt and black pride (even though he's half white) to edge John McCain, a white liberal Republican.

In the end, angry black politicians such as James Clyburn (D-SC) may have to accept that it was BLATANT racism that propelled Alvin Greene to be his party's choice for the US Senate.

Close the Border

The people of Arizona took a necessary stand to protect themselves and to protect America. The border needs to be closed to illegal immigrants and to (in part) stem the pipeline of illegal drugs into the US.

This sign was posted by the BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, an agency of the Federal Government. While I applaud the sign and their concern for US Citizens who might stray into zones used by armed, dangerous illegal aliens to cross into the US, I'd prefer something to stop the illegal aliens. It's not as if anyone isn't aware of the problem.

In addition to the communist agitators who are opposing Arizona's attempt to do what the Federal Government should be doing, there is a human cost that we should be aware of. That applies to the victims of illegal immigration in Arizona --- and to the illegal immigrants themselves, who are often the victims of alien smugglers (called coyotes).

There is nothing wrong with LEGAL immigration. ILLEGAL immigration has to be stopped by whatever means is most effective.

Is a Govt. Job in Alvin Greene's Future?

This is (another) summary of Alvin Greene's miraculous win.

The Democratic Party is unhappy about their guy, Greene, winning the race. What do the Democrats seem to be doing these days when somebody needs to drop out of a political race? Many say, they handle it the Chicago Way - they bribe them with a government job.

Though the matter of an obama administration bribe of Congressman Joe Sestak to drop out of his US Senate race remains in question, it seems as though the Democratic Party may have put a spike in the story.

Spiked Story notwithstanding, the Chicago Way calls for a bribe -- either cash that the hard core unemployable Greene needs even though he has a very low overhead - no car, lives with parents -- or a government job.

Blog commenters should consider which government job Greene would be best suited for and then speak up and let us know what you think. I personally believe that he should be (at the very least) a Czar. Perhaps Green Jobs Czar, vacated by Communist activist Van Jones or maybe a completely new commissar type job overseeing Arizona - Arizona Czar!

Frankly, the State of Arizona has been handing the obama administration some headaches recently with their uppity stance toward restricting illegal aliens from entering the state, open carry firearms legislation, etc. They need a czar to oversee federal programs in that state and who better than party faithful, Alvin Greene.

All ALVIN GREEN has to do is to drop out of the race and claim that there was no quid pro quo for his czar job and the mainstream media will believe him.

Alvin Greene - Democratic Party Success Story!

It clearly doesn't take all that much to become the Democratic Party hopeful for the US Senate in South Carolina. In the video below, Alvin Greene, the Democratic Party's choice for US Senator outlines his election strategy. On Virtual Mirage, we'll be following the Alvin Greene campaign to be a US Senator.

We have suggested that Greene may be the next obama. Come from nowhere, kind of a fishy personal background, questions about where he came by campaign money (maybe George Soros?), felony filing - trial pending, etc.  There is a lot of similarity. Neither obama nor Greene have much understanding of international affairs but there's always a learning curve, isn't there?

MSNBC's Keith Oberman didn't seem to think much of his party's bright spark - and perhaps the future of the Democratic Party. The voters in South Carolina overwhelming (60%) sent Greene forward to represent them in the general election in November. I find it difficult to understand why MSNBC would treat him a little harshly. Since the obama regime all but manages/controls MSNBC, it seems odd that they'd do anything but offer soft-ball questions to Greene.

Greene seemed offended at the suggestion that he was a Republican plant.  I don't know how he could be. A large number of people voted for him and there is absolutely NO indication that it was anything but a straight-up election. That he wasn't the good old boy the Democratic Political Machine wanted simply supports the notion that even an unemployed, scantly educated, potential (charged) felon from South Carolina can aspire to high political office and receive his party's nomination.

And THIS  -- AND THIS from the Eye of Polyphemus. Jamie Jeffords, South Carolina resident weighs in on the matter.

Michelle Malkin points out that Greene's win is historic as the first African American major-party US Senate nominee from South Carolina since Reconstruction.

Our Next President? (Alvin Greene)

Alvin Greene is the Democratic Candidate for the United States Senate from the State of South Carolina. He's a lot like barack hussein obama, except it appears that he may well be a legitimate US Citizen - and the jury is still out on obama. Yes he looks like the movie character "Bubba" from Forrest Gump.

Fox News commentators call Greene, "a proverbial enigma wrapped in a riddle surrounded by mystery."

The Democrats aren't all that proud of Greene since he's an unemployed man who has been charged with a felony (conviction pending). I think that there may be some racism in the Democratic Party - trying to keep the black man down. Greene said, "The people of South Carolina have spoken!" He'll remain in the race for the US Senate. The 32-year-old Greene, facing a felony charge for allegedly showing pornographic images to a college student last October, managed to capture 59 percent of the primary vote. He's never been a community organizer, though, and perhaps the lack of that particular qualification may keep him from the White House in the shadow of barack hussein obama.

To Greene's credit, he did serve with the US Army, however he did receive an 'involuntary discharge'. So he has credentials that obama doesn't have. He may have served poorly, but he served.

Greene's improbable victory over Democratic candidate Vic Rawl, a former state legislator who officials expected would win, has unleashed a flood of questions, including how the unemployed Army veteran managed to pay $10,400 to get on the ballot before running a "low budget" campaign with no ads, website or fundraising.

Greene is an ardent supporter of barack hussein obama's programs. He wants to create jobs through Department of Transportation projects, like widening and repairing major interstate highways in South Carolina. He supports the obama regime's massive health care overhaul because "the best minds are behind it."

U.S. House Majority Whip James Clyburn, D-S.C., called Greene a "plant" and has demanded an investigation into his candidacy. "There were some real shenanigans going on in the South Carolina primary," Clyburn told the Bill Press radio show on Thursday. "I don't know if he was a Republican plant. He was someone's plant." Oh come now, Congressman Clyburn - he's your man! What you're telling us is absurd as trying to pawn the failed buffoon barack hussein obama on the Republican/Independent community as one of ours.

The issue of felonious conduct:

Greene has been charged but NOT convicted. The South Carolina Board of Elections told that it has no plans to investigate how Greene pulled off the upset, even though the South Carolina Democratic Party now wants him off the ballot because of a pending felony charge that he allegedly showed obscene Internet photos to Camille McCoy 19-year-old college student. McCoy said she told police that a man, whom she later identified as Greene, approached her last October in an on-campus computer lab at the University of South Carolina and showed her dozens of pornographic images from a computer.

"He just sat down next to me and asked if I liked football," McCoy told "He then said 'well look at my computer' and it was porn."McCoy said after she told Greene that the images were "offensive," he said, "Let's go back to your room."

"Right now I am innocent," Greene said. "The people of South Carolina have spoken. They've chosen me as their nominee and we have to be pro-South Carolina -- not anti-Greene."

Under South Carolina law, convicted felons are prohibited from holding state office, but they can serve in federal office -- though the U.S. House or Senate can vote to expel or not seat him if he wins election in November.

Greene the "warrior", the man of mystery:

Like his idol, barack hussein obama, Greene's history is also little known. What do we know? He was discharged from the Army in August 2009 after being promoted to specialist. He signed up for the Army for a three-year stint in February 2007, and his discharge came six months short of his military obligation. Greene declined to elaborate in the interview above, saying, "Things weren't working out ... it's a long story." Greene, who was last stationed with the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kan., served with the South Carolina Air National Guard from July 1995 to June 2002 and in the South Carolina Army National Guard from July 2006 to February 2007.

An issue of faith:

Nobody knows (or nobody asked) if Greene is a closet Muslim. If he changes his name (the way obama did from Barry Soetoro to barack hussein obama) and accepts Islam - he'll be one step closer to the Oval Office.

If Democrats in South Carolina selected Greene to represent them in the US Senate, there is NO REASON why he can't be their candidate to represent their Party in 2012 to replace the dangerous buffoon, barack hussein obama as US President!

ALVIN GREEN - Democratic Party Hopeful for the US Senate - and maybe for President.

Obama won, why can't Greene?

What's in a Sign?

Sometimes the sign says it all.

Capturing an Instant in Time

My daughters Amanda and Heather both do photography as an avocation and as a business. There is something about being able to make a little money at art that appeals to me as an author who does the same thing. You may wish to check out the link and follow Amanda's blog (Amanda Fein Photography).

She specializes in capturing an instant in time - putting it in a glass case - and preserving a memory. There's no political agenda, no sinister government plots, no bleeding heart causes - just a little art that connects people to those memories that define our fleeting lives.

Hamas Global Infowar Campaign

Early in the morning of May 31, Israel Defense Force (IDF) naval forces intercepted six ships attempting to break the naval blockade of the Gaza Strip. This happened after numerous warnings from Israel and the Israel navy that were issued prior to the action. The Israel navy requested the ships to redirect toward Ashdod where they would be able to unload their aid material which would then be transferred over land after undergoing security inspections.

During the interception of the ships, the demonstrators onboard attacked the IDF naval personnel with live fire and light weaponry including knives and clubs. Additionally one of the weapons used was grabbed from an IDF soldier. The demonstrators had clearly prepared their weapons in advance for this specific purpose.

As a result of this life-threatening and violent activity, naval forces employed riot dispersal means, including live fire.

According to initial reports, these events resulted in over 10 deaths among the demonstrators and numerous injured; in addition, more than four naval personnel were injured, some from gunfire and some from various other weapons. Two of the soldiers are moderately wounded and the remainder sustained light injuries. All of the injured, Israelis and foreigners are currently being evacuated by helicopter to hospitals in Israel.

Reports from IDF forces on the scene are that it seems as if part of the participants onboard the ships were planning to lynch the forces.

The Israeli Naval Special Forces people who fast roped onto the deck of hostile ships -- into the middle of a club/knife/firearm wielding mob exercised VERY poor judgment. The hostile Muslim mob could have been scattered with less lethal means such as sting balls, tear gas, chemical agents, etc. before the Special Forces fast roped into what was CLEARLY a situation geared to escalate out of control.
I give the Israelis a D- for tactical planning** and for deliberately aggravating a situation that had been designed by the Muslims to be aggravated. They're lucky they didn't loose troops. As it is, four were injured.

This is the analysis from Charles Krauthammer (FOX News, The Corner):

The fundamental deception here is the use of the word "humanitarian." . . . Humanitarians don't wield iron clubs, and [they] would have killed the Israelis had the Israelis not drawn their pistols in self-defense.

But there‘s a larger issue here. What exactly is the humanitarian crisis that the flotilla was actually addressing? There is none. There’s no one starving in Gaza. The Gazans have been supplied with food and social services, education, by the U.N., by UNWRA, for 60 years, in part with American tax money.

Second, when there are humanitarian needs, the Israelis allow — every day — food and medicine overland into Gaza. The reason that it did not want to allow this flotilla is because, as the spokesman for the flotilla said herself, this was not about humanitarian relief. It was about breaking the blockade.

And the reason the Israelis have a blockade is because they only want to allow humanitarian supplies and not weaponry. Look, the proof of that is the fact that if you look at a map of Gaza, you'll see that Israelis only control three sides of this rectangle. There’s a fourth side on the Egyptian side. So it is an Egyptian-Israeli blockade.

The Egyptians have the same problem with Gaza. People accuse Israeli of the blockade [saying it’s because] because they're racist, they’re anti-Muslim, anti-Arab. The Egyptians are Muslim and Arab and they’ve gone to war three times on behalf of the Palestinians. So why do they have exactly the same blockade? Because Gaza is run by Hamas, a terror entity that wants to import weaponry and resume the war against Israel.

The man who made the announcement that we saw earlier, explaining the commando raid is the defense minister of Israel. He‘s not a right-winger. He‘s not Likud. He’s Ehud Barak, who’s the leader of Labor, the party of Yitzhak Rabin, Golda Meir, the party of the left, and the man who ten years ago this summer offered the Palestinians a peace agreement that would have [provided] a Palestinian state, division of Jerusalem, and an end of the conflict.

The Palestinians said no. And Gaza two years ago declared war on Israel. That's why you have a blockade. . . .

So if you want me to weep for the ten or so people who were killed by the Israeli sailors, don't hold your breath. THEY were the belligerents here, they were the ones who deliberately provoked the incident. Israel simply took the bait rather than using tugs to fend off the ships and send them on their way to wherever -- Egypt maybe -- and they could have off-loaded supplies there.

Of course, supplies are shipped into Gaza every single day but that doesn't make news.

Hamas is engaging in a global infowar campaign against Israel and this was but one incident, deliberately designed to provoke a reaction. The Israelis could have done a better job handling it from a tactical point of view.

Yes, it's a blunder by Israel - however some do suggest that further isolation of Israel from the United States would allow Israel greater flexibility when they undertake unilateral military action against Iran and its nuclear arms program (stated Iranian goal: Wipe out Israel with nukes). Some suggest that this event would seem to be in line with creating additional political separation between Israel and the US needed for Israel to act unilaterally. Time will tell, but a brute force response to the second flotilla could easily give barack hussein obama an excuse to create additional political separation from Israel on the US end.

**If my cynical side was to giveway, I'd say that perhaps those Israeli SEALs were dropped into the crowd on purpose to accomplish the political result it obtained.
