Conservatives need to stop asking for hand-outs

When you look at the map of donor-states (states that send more money to the Federal Government than they receive back in benefits) and subsidized states, there seems to be a dysfunction since many of the proportionally largest eaters of other men's bread are traditionally conservative.

Utah, Arizona, Arkansas, and many of vocally conservative states in the South with the exception of Florida seem to embrace Federal Money.  The problem with taking more from the Feds than you give them is that you further the Utopian Socialist dream of people who would buy your vote and your freedom.

The Short Good-Bye

Necrophelia is apparently permitted and may even be encouraged in Islam.
Historical note from Wikipedia: Singular accounts of necrophilia in history are sporadic, though written records suggest the practice was present within Ancient Egypt. Herodotus writes in The Histories that, to discourage intercourse with a corpse, ancient Egyptians left deceased beautiful women to decay for "three or four days" before giving them to the embalmers. So there may be precedence here that dates into antiquity?
I hate to make it look as if I'm throwing stones at Islam, but the new "short time" law as a means of saying good-bye to a departed spouse is 'sick' by most people's standards.
Egyptian husbands will soon be legally allowed to have sex with their dead wives - for up to six hours after their death. The controversial new law is part of a raft of measures being introduced by the Islamist-dominated parliament. It will also see the minimum age of marriage lowered to 14 and the ridding of women's rights of getting education and employment.
Read more:
No, I'm not making this up. This is something so bizarre that you simply couldn't include it in a Tim Burton Movie and sell it to the audience.
The story continues: "The subject of a husband having sex with his dead wife arose in May 2011 when Moroccan cleric Zamzami Abdul Bari said marriage remains valid even after death. He also said that women have the right to have sex with her dead husband, reported.
There are some who might argue that sex with a dead Egyptian (woman) is more or less like sex with a live Egyptian since over 70% of Egyptian women have been mutilated through the practice of 'female circumcision' and thus, there is not real pleasure in 'sexual duty'. Maybe some Egyptian women will respond to this blog and offer their views on the matter.

A number of Islamic clerics have fallen in line with the farewell-intercourse law, so it seems that it doesn't violate the tenants of the Qur-An.

Perhaps the tag line above will become the official slogan in the new - fully Islamic Egypt?

Will Clinton Probe Colombian Prostitution?

The US Secret Service (US Department of Homeland Security) tried to pump up the Colombian economy and things went horribly wrong, ending the careers of three agents and leading to the security clearance suspensions of eight more.

Of the 11 Secret Service members involved in the Colombia prostitution case, 3 left the Secret Service. 1 was fired, 1 retired, and 1 resigned. And the most interesting part of all, is that none of them apparently violated Secret Service rules. Prostitution is legal in Colombia. The civil dispute between the prostitute and a Secret Service Agent that set off the firestorm is not illegal either. And there are no rules governing legal off-duty behavior for Secret Service or US Military personnel.

Rule 5 Section: Photo (LINK) from the Daily Mail (UK) of one of the female companions, offered $800 and paid $30 by a (cheap) US Secret Service Agent. If the agent had just paid her, none of this would have come to light.

In a related story, allegedly former President William J. (Bill) Clinton offered to head up the probe of prostitutes in Colombia. As both a Democrat and a man of the world, Clinton was judged by many to be perfect to probe completely and comprehensively in Colombia.

Bloody Mexico - Los Mochis

Ciudad Juarez is considered to be Mexico's drug murder capital, but Juarez is several times larger than Los Mochis, and Mochis is home to the four largest drug cartels in Mexico. I'm sure that you've heard of Juarez (below), but you might not know that much about Los Mochis. That has more to do with the lack of press coverage than the fact that there is something to cover there. Reporters unfavorable to cartel members simply don't last long.

There is not much of a tourism industry centered in Los Mochis, even though it's located on I-15 on the picturesque Gulf of California, just across from Cabo San Lucas and La Paz, where you might have sucked down an umbrella drink, sitting in a chair on the beach in the sand while Mariachis played in the background.

A Los Mochis Vacation - the antidote for civilization...

Oh, and don't toss that old lawnmower in the trash. Bring it with you on your Los Mochis vacation. They will turn it from it's former use into diving equipment.

Obama's War on Women

Women And The Obama Economy [Infographic]

Disastrous policies undertaken by the Obama Administration have had a disproportionate impact on women over the past four years. It's an inconvenient truth that the Democratic Party will gloss over as Obama tries to remain in office for another four years.
The disproportionate effect on women will continue to get worse. Former U.S. Treasury official Lawrence Goodman sounded the alarm recently when he noted that investors are shunning low-yielding U.S. Treasuries, forcing the Fed to buy "a stunning ... 61% of the total net issuance of U.S. government debt." (IBD)
The Obama Administration has undertaken the "snake eating its own tail" economic death spiral in an effort to keep the numbers looking as good as they can until after the November Election. The Stock Market isn't high because free enterprise. It's there because of government manipulation. I wonder if women are watching what's going on? I wonder if they care. Perhaps we'll see in November?

Think Small - Elect Smaller

Shortly before his death, the late Steve Jobs met President Obama at a dinner in California, where “each guest was asked to come with a question for the president.”
But as Steven P. Jobs of Apple spoke, President Obama interrupted with an inquiry of his own: what would it take to make iPhones in the United States?

Not long ago, Apple boasted that its products were made in America. Today, few are. Almost all of the 70 million iPhones, 30 million iPads and 59 million other products Apple sold last year were manufactured overseas. Why can’t that work come home? Mr. Obama asked Mr. Jobs’s reply was unambiguous. “Those jobs aren’t coming back,” he said, according to another dinner guest. The president’s question touched upon a central conviction at Apple. It isn’t just that workers are cheaper abroad. Rather, Apple’s executives believe the vast scale of overseas factories as well as the flexibility, diligence and industrial skills of foreign workers have so outpaced their American counterparts that “Made in the U.S.A.” is no longer a viable option for most Apple products.

That single exchange between President Obama and Steve Jobs summarizes the cumulative effect of the end of the Victory Culture. No only is America resigned to losing, its captains of industry are willing to tell President Obama to his face that it is no longer possible to win.....

How America went from a country which bestrode the world in 1945 to what one author called a post-Vietnam nation of “extraordinary losers” will puzzle historians far into the future.

Perhaps it can be summarized in one phrase. Think small and elect smaller.

If America wants to turn things around, it has to change the way it's doing things. It needs to take a hint from one of America's most successful companies:

Change of Venue

Change of Command, NEB Coronado

GSA Scandal = hope and change?

Is BIGGER Government a good idea? The Obama Administration would have you think so because they want to bundle healthcare and just about every phase of commerce under the Executive Branch.

So what does government do when it gets big? What about a party in Vegas? After all, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas! (until the Washington Post gets a hold of it)
The obscure federal agency that has come under intense scrutiny after a report it spent $820,000 of taxpayer funds on a lavish Las Vegas bash
Read more:

It's simply ANOTHER example of effective lying while the Obama Administration borrowed and spent more money in the past four years to enlarge government than ALL US borrowing since the government was formed in the 1700's. (LINK)

We borrowed the $820,000 for the GSA party (which featured mind readers, clowns and a variety of other entertainment) from CHINA. This is the sort of outrage that the Hope and Change has brought us.

How is the hope and change working out for you?

Tuesday Tunes

I thought that a 1980's retrospective might be fun. And who was more retro in the 80's than George Harrison?

And who can forget The Fine Young Cannibals?

And Journey
