Red Line Fever

"The president whose genius was going to talk Islamofascist Iran into submission can't even get America's closest ally to help us bomb a WMD-wielding terror state."

Today, the New York Times says if Obama attacks Syria, "he will look more isolated than any president in recent memory entering a conflict."

I don't blame the British, the French or the Germans for not wanting to follow the lead lemming off the cliff. And that is what our foolish president is to the rest of the thinking world. You may think that it's quaint that America would elect a completely incompetent fool - twice -  to lead them for the sake of not appearing to be racist, but that's not how the rest of the world looks at it.

Increasingly, it's not how America looks at it anymore. The flash and pizzazz of our teleprompter reader doesn't translate into action. He can still sign stuff and make America miserable. He can still order ships to launch cruise missiles SUPPORTING Al Qaeda (whiskey-tango-foxtrot?) in Syria. But nobody else wants to play.

In 2007, Obama campaigned on being the talker who brought everyone together, remember? We're in the fifth year of the Obama presidency he still hasn't talked to Iran or Syria; he was just humiliated into canceling a Moscow summit. They don't want to talk to Obama; they want to continue to exploit his lack of leadership. He's a fool, and America has been supremely foolish - twice - in putting this moron into the White House.
Obama's first ambassador to Iraq, Christopher Hill, said of Britain's rebuff: "You could almost see it coming. When you don't have an overall diplomatic strategy, it's hard to marshal a coalition."
American power and prestige is descending under Obama. Russia, China and the Islamists are already filling the growing vacuum. They ignore Obama. Why not? I do to the extent possible myself.

Ejecting from a jet aircraft (in flight or from the deck) is no small thing.

Rigid Seat Survival Kit

I know that they sell ejection seats and one day, when I'm worth a bundle, I will buy one for my man cave as a conversation piece (without the solid propellant rockets).

Democrats Coming to Terms?

There are some Democrats who are trying to come to terms with Barack Hussein Obama, the demigod who has run their party, the nation, the American military as Commander-in-Chief and leader of the free world (and nobel peace prize winner).

ObamaCare is turning out to be every bit as bad as predicted and even the labor unions are bemoaning their choices.  A friend of mine who is proud of his progressiveness still blames George W. Bush for everything that Obama is doing, excusing Barack because he has simply been "fixing Bush's mess" for two terms now... That doesn't hold water anywhere except in the mind of a person who is unwilling to look at reality and call a spade, a spade.

Biden for President
Barack was not the great half-black hope to bring employment anywhere. He bloated the government to an extent that most never believed possible, has been a champion of elements of radical islam and has  been the architect of a myriad of scandals, beginning with Fast and Furious, NSA, IRS, Benghazi - and they all keep coming.

My only concern is that of who would take over the government if Barack were to step down. Biden? God Help America.

Teeth capped, face stretched, more hair plugs implanted, Biden is ready to be leader of the free world.

Tree Hugger

I like trees. I really do.

No, I'm not an Al Gore style faux tree hugger, but I love trees.

Old Coyote

No, I don't have a new cat. In fact, I've never had a cat. I'm not a cat person. I just thought that the picture was funny. If I was to get a dog at this stage of my life, I think it would be another Rhodesian Ridgeback. (right)

I had a Ridgeback (named Matt, after General Matthew Ridgeway, US Army - WW2 and Korea).

The South Africans used them to hunt lions. They love to hunt cats including cougars (not sexually predatory women, the wild kind with claws and fangs --- wait ---you know what I mean). Matt loved to tree cats for sport. The cats just sat in the trees and mocked him while he bayed. Then Matt lost interest, left and the cats climbed down. Occasionally he did catch a cat. Rhodesian Ridgebacks are large hounds and they are very strong. If they can take down a lion, a house cat isn't much effort.

Before Matt, my Uncle John found a coyote pup on the mountain and brought him for me to raise. I named him Dusty.

As Dusty grew, his loyalty to me was beyond question and everyone in the area was afraid of him. People wondered what a coyote was doing in a (small farming/ranching) town just hanging out. He used to run next to my bicycle when I rode it. If any other boy issued a taunt, he'd bare fangs and run toward them. That didn't happen often, but often enough that people kept a respectful distance.

Sadly for Dusty, he liked stealing chickens. I'd find a freshly killed chicken on my doorstep every day (uneaten) -- until somebody took exception to that and ended his chicken killing career. Dusty was a coyote and no amount of 'civilizing' would change that.

Life in the ObamaNation

There is nothing to say about the Obama Administration that hasn't been said by others more eloquent than I am. For me it is simply the daily outrage.

The blatant racism displayed by Obama's Administration, the horrible out-of-control spending that Congress has unfortunately tolerated, the scandal - after - scandal, Benghazi, Obamacare, Fast and Furious, IRS, NSA, etc. seems to have no limits.

And now Syria. What's up with that?
(Fox News) Charles Krauthammer, syndicated columnist and Fox News contributor, told viewers Thursday on “Special Report with Bret Baier” that the Obama administration’s strategy on Syria is a “complete humiliation,” calling the inability to gather allies like Britain and France to take action against the Assad regime a diplomatic failure.
“Here's Obama trying to gather an ally or two for a pinprick and he gets nothing,” he said. Krauthammer questioned the administration’s competency, saying, “Did nobody actually think to check on the allies? I mean, these are guys who couldn’t organize a three-car funeral.”
Can't this golfing, vacationing, jet-setter do ANYTHING right?

And with Amerca's diminished fleet capacity in the Mediterranean, there is a downside to attacking Syria (which may be able to rely on Russian assets for targeting information). The Russians sold the Syrians have effective anti-ship cruise missiles.

The P-800 Oniks (Russian: П-800 Оникс; English: Onyx), is a supersonic anti-ship cruise missile (SS-N-26). Standard batteries of these missiles consist of four self-propelled launchers with two missiles each (and supporting vehicles)

The Onyx features over-the-horizon firing range, full autonomy of combat use ("fire and forget"), a set of flexible ("low", "high-low") trajectories, high supersonic speed on all phases of flight, full harmonization for a wide range of platforms (surface ships of all major classes, submarines and land-based launchers), low profile RCS ("STEALTH" technology), the use of missiles in electronic countermeasures. The Syrians have 72 of these anti-shipping missiles according to reliable sourcing.

They each have a range of 300 km and if they have good targeting information (that the Russian fleet may be able to provide), they can give US Destroyers a warm reception. I suspect that the US submarines will fire cruise missiles in an attempt to take these missile batteries out before the surface ships close for an attack. There may be coordinated air strikes as well to reduce the threat to the small fleet of destroyers that President Obama is using to send the American message.

What is the message? Obama has a navy and he's prepared to use it against Assad in support of the Muslim Brotherhood which opposes Assad....really Barack?

The Syrian government denies responsibility and claims its own forces suffered from a rebel chemical attack. The government is winning the fight and has no obvious motive to undertake action that would invite US military intervention that might affect the momentum of its successes. At least, that is what the Syrian government has said.

The rebels have strong motives to internationalize their fight and to manipulate the US into fighting on behalf of Islamists whose colleagues attacked the US in 2001. Some American officials and experts have asserted that the rebels have no chemical weapons. Not even the rebels say that.

What has not been reported nor evaluated are rebel claims, published by Sky News in July 2013 for example, that they have a sarin chemical weapons program and delivery systems.

Sick Twisted Little So and So

I realize that many who read this will feel that I'm cold, harsh and extreme. However, PFC Bradley Manning, US Army, is a traitor and was lucky to have his sentence set at 35 years. It is a pity, but it's a condition of the nation that he was not sentenced to 35 years at hard labor. Maybe it's because Manning could break a finger nail if he was doing hard labor for 35 years at Ft. Leavenworth, KS? Private Manning's lawyer, David Coombs has said that it's time to end Manning's suffering. Coombs wasn't suggesting a bullet be fired into his client's head (which would have been my interpretation of "end his suffering"). He feels that Manning should be released because he's a sodomite. What does sexual preference have to do with being a traitor?
Will be entertaining the other
convicts at Ft. Leavenworth, KS

And what's with the US Government providing prisoners with gender reassignment while they're in custody? I realize that there are sick, twisted people who do this in society, but why must the American taxpayer pay for traitor Bradley Manning's sexual kink? Prisoners often turn to homosexuality to satisfy their needs. I get that, and Manning enters the general population by announcing that for the next 35 years, he's available to the highest bidder in the graybar hotel.

The US Army (whose prisoner Manning is) has stated that they won't make a woman out of him, the way that the Federal Bureau of Prisons would. But the Obama Administration has very kind feelings toward this sort of gender reassignment. And Barack Obama is the Commander-in-Chief. President Obama's nanny, "Turdi", was a transgender man who used to dress him up like a girl, so it's not as if there isn't some history in the back story. (LINK)
(Fox News) Bradley Manning plans to live as a woman named Chelsea and wants to begin hormone therapy as soon as possible, the soldier said Thursday, a day after being sentenced to 35 years in prison for sending classified material to WikiLeaks.
Manning announced the decision in a written statement provided to NBC's "Today" show, asking supporters to refer to him by his new name and the feminine pronoun. The statement was signed "Chelsea E. Manning."
"As I transition into this next phase of my life, I want everyone to know the real me. I am Chelsea Manning. I am a female. Given the way that I feel, and have felt since childhood, I want to begin hormone therapy as soon as possible,"
Private Manning's defense for releasing over 700,000 classified documents to the press has always revolved around his homosexual preference, though what one thing has to do with the other, eludes me. Will the USGOV pay for his sex change? And does that mean that he'll spend his 35 year sentence in a women's prison? Or will he just be Chelsea for the benefit of all of the inmates in the US Military Prison at Ft. Leavenworth?

Parole Speculation?

(duffleblog) “Even if parole is successful, he will not have the skills to live as a female impersonator upon leaving prison. By then, the best life he can hope for is that of a dried up fruit fly, chain smoking Virginia Slims during happy hour at The Man Hole,” said lawyer Coombs. “This young man — woman, tranny, whatever — is having the best years of his cabana boy life being taken from him.”
Maybe a paroled Bradley Manning will end up like Obama's Nanny, "Turdi", pictured above - right? He just has to find a little Barry Soetoro to mentor, and paint lipstick on.

Flying Tigers

Not many people recall the P-66 Vanguard. More equate the Flying Tigers (American Volunteer Group) with the P-40. As I recall my history, they were also equipped with Brewster Buffaloes, which were promptly shot down.

WATCH THIS  More than a news reel (circa 1942)

P-66 Vultee Vanguard

P-40 Curtis Warhawk

F2 Brewster Buffalo

The Film (above) is a genuine part of history.

The A6 Mitsubishi "Zero" provided much of the competition that the AVG faced in China. Though there were several variants of the basic aircraft, it changed very little over the course of WW 2.

Even in 1943 it was capable of holding its own against Allied naval aircraft; but by then the fortunes of Japan were already on the decline and in 1944, as the Americans pushed back the enemy, there was no truly effective metropolitan-based interceptor available to combat the heavily armed and escorted Boeing B-29 bombers. Such an eventuality had never entered the Japanese war planners' minds. (oops)

Building a Better Terrorist

On Tuesday, August 20, the US Treasury Department, Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) levied economic sanctions against a madrassah (Islamic school) in Pakistan by branding it a 'terrorist training center' supporting al-Qaida and the Taliban. The Treasury Department said that the Ganj madrassah in Peshawar was being used as a training and recruiting base by two militant groups, as well as the radical Lashkar-e-Taiba, blamed for the November 2008 Mumbai attacks that killed 166 people. They're right. That's what it is being used for.

Most USGOV anti-terrorist initiatives do not focus on recruitment and indoctrination of youth in the processes of becoming jihadis. The main thrust has been on decapitation, which is never a permanent solution to terrorism, and on total destruction of terrorist groups which is always impossible.

Attacks on the reproductive systems of Islamic terrorism require pressure on madrassahs and specific rabble-rousing imams in order to dissuade Muslim kids from embracing violent jihad. The reproductive subsystems of a terrorist organization are usually more vulnerable to disruption. However, Pakistan is a US ally, and disrupting venerated institutions of religious education on an ally's turf is not appreciated by the ally. So it's easier said than done.

Many attacks aimed at US Forces in Afghanistan were executed with the assistance and resources of jihadis trained at madrassahs in Pakistan. A madrassah in Multan, Pakistan has maintained connections with several madrassahs in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, for the purpose of supplying suicide bombers and violent jihadis, according to published Afghan police interrogation reports. Suicide bombings in Afghanistan tend to be an international enterprise, invariably rooted in Pakistan.

The Indian government would ask the US why it clings to Pakistan as an ally in the fight against terror when much of the jihadis operating in the Subcontinent and Southwest Asia are Pakistani or are Pashtun (ethnic Afghans living in Pakistan's Northwest Frontier Province, referred to as a 'tribal area'). I  have asked the same question and always get a bewildered look from US State Department FSO's (Faggots Serving Overseas) and the response goes something like this, "What would happen if they turned against us?"
Pakistan allowed Osama bin Laden to live next door to their military academy...
Pakistan's loyalty is measured in many billions of dollars a year of foreign aid. The Pakistani Interservice Intelligence Service (ISI) is a type of shadow government that acts on its own and works its own agenda separate of Pakistani national policy.
(Fox News) Pakistan is one of the largest recipients of U.S. assistance. Nearly $3 billion in U.S. aid to Pakistan is planned for fiscal 2012. About $1.6 billion of the FY2012 funds are security-related and most of the remaining $1.4 billion is for economic development. Pakistan has received over $20 billion in military and non-military aid since 2001. About $9 billion of that total went to reimburse Pakistan for its expenses incurred in supporting U.S. military operations.
US SECSTATE, John Kerry is a big proponent of massive foreign aid to Pakistan -- and that makes perfect sense.

My Cracker in the Soup (Syria)

The history of predicted accuracy when it comes to chem/bio weapons has been notoriously poor. The US used the weapons-of-mass-destruction pretext for an invasion of Iraq in 2003 and ended up with egg on its face. Lethal gas kills effectively. There are no large numbers of people left alive and suffering. Victims die by the thousands. Survivors are few, if any. That is the lesson of Iraq's use of such weapons at Hallabjah against the Kurds and later against the Iranians. Casualty reports from Syria are precisely opposite of the lethality pattern in a chemical weapon attack. That doesn't mean that gas wasn't used -- but it suggests a flaw in the pattern that should be examined before we start shooting at people.

The Geneva Convention does not prohibit the use of all gas weapons. The Russians deployed a chemical agent in 2002 when Chechen terrorists held more than 700 Russian hostages in a Moscow theater. Their crowd suppression agent that killed 116 people, but enabled 650 to be rescued. The agent is not banned by the Geneva convention on chemical warfare. If the Syrians used such an agent, which can be delivered by mortars, artillery and (Russian) aircraft, there would be no international legal justification for attacking Syria based on the Geneva convention. Did the Syrians use a chemical agent (of Russian manufacture) that was not banned? It would be nice to know that answer. Does the Obama Administration have that answer? I don't believe that they do. Try harder.

However, by all accounts (blasted out by the press), the US plans to attack in a war that is more existential than real. We do that a lot -- and it never ends well. Not ever. Not once. We're going to stand of and blow things up in Syria without any concept of 'end game' -- because only Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) wants to see the Muslim Brotherhood in charge in Syria based on my observations. At least he's been the only one trumpeting it. The US is briefing the press and the Syrians, by extension for arcane (weird) political purposes. Possibly to have the Syrians evacuate the targets we have in mind to avoid a loss of life. I thought that the purpose of war was to take life. Silly me.

Iran is heavily invested in the survival of the Assad government in Syria so US and NATO planners must plan for retaliatory attacks in Western Europe, in the US, in the Persian Gulf states and everywhere the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps Quds Force has a presence.

Hillary Clinton waits for the outcome before deciding
which side she's on.
The Europeans are a paper tiger. In Libya and more recently in Mali, Western European air forces were unable to sustain combat flight and logistics operations without comprehensive US support, from intelligence to mission planning to all types of resupply. Some US military personnel are resentful because they received so little recognition for so much effort to compensate for European NATO lack of capabilities. NATO is incapable of sustaining any but the most elementary level of air combat for a minimal amount of time without comprehensive US support. That means the feel-good notion of a coalition of the willing is actually a cover term for US military operations with minimal NATO help for window dressing. This is not a criticism, it is a fact of European economics.

ObamaCare - it's for America!

Code Words

There are a lot of code words that are tossed about these days as sure signs of racism. Crip, Blood and "Inner City Gang Member" are but three. Those aren't the only ones. Words that are usually associated with Democratic Party success stories such as, Chicago and Detroit, are also racist code words. "Angry" is another code word. During the last political campaign season “You notice he said ‘anger’ twice,” MSNBC host, Toure fumed, in response to a speech by GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney. “He’s really trying to use racial coding and access some really deep stereotypes about the angry black man.” Or maybe Romney accurately described the singular temperament of the growling, finger-jabbing, failure-plagued demagogue-in-chief?

Here's a new one: "Holding down the fort". I wouldn't have thought that Indians were insulted by that. I doubt that any Indians are, but apparently MSNBC is, and they may have a professional Indian on staff that feels that way.

Headlines that you may not care about:

(Daily Mail - UKHIV-infected porn star had sex with actor who days later had sex with Sydney Leathers in her debut movie Weiner And Me

Hillary Clinton could not be reached for comment, but there is speculation that Anthony Weiner has been invited to the same park where Vince Foster committed suicide, for a private meeting with the 2016 US Presidential hopeful.

Unfortunate Label?

Sometimes you wonder why people name objects as they do. Case in point, this pencil sharpener. (right)

There is rampant speculation that these pencil sharpeners have been introduced to California public schools by the homosexual lobby as part of their "pivot toward your own gender or adopt your friend's gender" education plans.

A Metaphor for the Times and Seasons

From Alaska

Does NSA Read my Blog? (housekeeping)

I won't be shutting down my blog because the National Security Agency is downloading it. And I think that my blog is every bit as interesting as the UN's encrypted video conferencing system.

In fact, I'd be more than a little hurt to find out that I was in the small minority of websites that they didn't download. From an Obama Administration point of view, my blog is politically incorrect...though should Rand Paul become President, my blog would be disturbingly mainstream. I'm not sure how I would cope with that. Maybe I'd be forced to go fishing instead of blogging?

There is no steganography in the graphics that I post here (secret messages embedded in graphics), or none that I know of. The message (below-right) is loud, clear and unambiguous.

Most of the people who comment regularly on this blog are not in the mainstream, would never desecrate the American flag or do anything to hurt anyone except in defense of their lives, or the lives of people that they love. Which would suggest that the NSA might not find much here of interest. But you never know.

One reason that the NSA downloads the Internet every day is because there is secret writing in some graphics and there are messages contained in blogs. You can only capture them if you download the whole damned thing -- every day. I understand this and do not object. And there is no Fourth Amendment privilege in a blog. You write them to be read.

Truth be told, the US isn't the only country which downloads the Internet. The Russians do it too. And to my Russian friends, I can only suggest that they might learn something if they read it.  Most Russians think a lot like Americans, share a similar sense of humor and are bewildered by the British concept of a joke -- as are many Americans. I don't know whether or not the British download the Internet. Now that they are sharia friendly, they may not be allowed to download porn, which means that the Rule 5 blogs are free from British scrutiny (but not Russian -- Russians love porn). Yes the NSA downloads porn, but since porn on USGOV computers is forbidden (not the case in Russia), they need to classify the downloads: TS/NF/WN/ORCON/LIMDIS -- or something to that effect so that the public won't know that every smutty picture and video is captured for all time in a vault in their facility in Utah.

One day in the dim and distant future when it's all declassified and historians paw through the collection, descendants of porn stars (professional and amateur) will have the opportunity to see what great grandma and grandpa looked like 'in action'... thanks to the National Security Agency's efforts to preserve the Internet.

From that perspective, a little gratitude toward NSA may be in order.

I was visiting the blog at Brighid's Place and she discussed monikers. I thought about that.

Almost everyone that I worked around had one. The Prince of Darkness (Prince), WoFat, Monkey King, and others earned their nicknames. There was Taz (Tazmanian Devil), Cue (Cue-ball), Super Six, Genghis, Nemo, Badger, Short Stack, Eagle, Monkey Hands, Earp, Dimples, Lightning, Daisey, Nig, Hyde, County Slut, Fish, Strut, Lucifer, Plug, Horn, the White Dove, and I was either called Lambo (a take-off from Rambo) Mr. White (only the Prince of Darkness called me that), or Scary Larry, depending on the time, place and peer group. One guy named Jason, kept his given name because of the horror movie character, Jason.

Nig - dated a black girl once and the guys found out about it.
Hyde - turned from Dr. Jekyl into Mr. Hyde after one drink of demon rum.
Monkey Hands - liked to fiddle with his and other people's equipment. Some people called him "Rat Claws".
Eagle - had a nose like an Eagle's beak. Sometimes called "Snout".
County Slut - chased every woman that he ever met - almost always with success.
Horn - packed impressive gear.
Earp - liked to quickdraw.
Dimples - good looking lady slayer
Fish - shortened from Fish-Face, was part Chinese.
White Dove - went to church at some point in his life, but nobody could remember that happening.
----and so forth.
Any nickname could be shortened for ease of use. Rat Claws became Rat. County Slut became Slut, White Dove became Dove, Scary Larry became Scary, Cue-ball became Cue.

If you have red hair, you could be called Rusty or Torch or if you gained weight, any nickname could be instantly changed to Shamu.

Guys gave other guys girlfriends nicknames too: Assquatch, Butterface (killer body, but-her-face), Clearing Barrel, Poke-a-hauntas (looked like the Disney character, actually Italian), Sleeping Booty, Panther (her given name was Becky Panther, and she was part Blood Indian from Canada), Muffin, Poptart, Crack of Dawn, Dumpster, Cherry, Tag-Team (two identical twins, both of the same name. Sometimes referred to as Alpha and Beta, but nobody could tell them apart) ---- I left off the really insulting nicknames.

There was a flap in the Navy a few years ago where an administrative officer assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron 136 picked up the name, "Romo's Bitch"(voted in by the squadron) because he was a fan of Dallas Cowboy's quarterback, Tony Romo, believed to be gay. Sometimes they stick forever. Another aviator who participated in the 1991 Las Vegas Tailhook blow-out had his moniker changed from Grouper to Groper. So no moniker is necessarily forever.

I nicknamed my daughters Mouse, Wishbear, Angel and Elmo the Magic Baby -- or just plain Elmo. They still answer to those names. My daughter's named their mother "The Wicked Witch" and called me "The Handsome Prince" or "Mr. Moneybags"...

Monikers don't always tell a story but they usually do. Military Pilots and aviators all have nicknames and they often paint them on their aircraft.

When Asiana Flight 214 smashed into the sea wall at San Francisco International Airport a month or so ago,  the media released fictitious monikers, tacked onto the hapless air crew as a joke. It went viral.
Some navy squadrons have collective names for their aviators. Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 123 members are called the Screwtops.
The Pukin’ Dogs of Fighter Squadron 143 were originally known as the Griffins, which is a mythical creature that had the head and wings of an eagle and a body of a lion. Squadron lore holds two versions of how it got its new name, both of which involve someone mistaking the Griffins insignia’s down-turned head and open mouth for a vomiting dog.
There was VA-12, the Flying Ubangis (changed to the Clinchers in 1982 because of possible racial overtones); VF-191, Satan's Kittens; VXE-6, Puckered Penguins; and HS-8, Eightballers.
American Indians only had monikers - Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull, Red Cloud, Man Afraid of His Horses, etc. And they named their adversaries. Col. George A. Custer was called, "Son of the Morning Star" by the Cheyenne because he liked to attack before dawn. They called Gen. George Crook, "Gray Wolf".

The Bitch of Benghazi

It's been nearly 12 months since the Muslim Brotherhood attacked the US Consulate at Benghazi, Libya. Let's take a retrospective journey.

Hillary R. Clinton, former First Lady to Bill Clinton, wants to be the next President of the United States (and Leader of the Free World). As Secretary of State to President Barack Obama, she knew that she had to put her own stamp/stain on foreign policy that could be differentiated from the general appeasement that Barack sold to the Middle East. The Arab Spring gave her the perfect opportunity to do something spectacular that nobody else had ever done and it emboldened her. She took a risk with the Libyan "freedom fighters" even though she knew that they were Muslim Brothers and al Qaeda affiliates. The jihadis on the ground who were intent on overthrowing Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi fought with a disadvantage because of Libyan national airpower. The balance, Ms. Clinton reasoned, would be to provide them with American made, man portable surface to air defense systems (MANPADS).
Karl Rove explains here
that Hillary is a viable
option in 2016.

Secretary Clinton went to the Central Intelligence Agency and Director/General David Petraeus said, "no". However, Clinton had the stroke to go it alone and pull weapons for foreign sale/gift to the Muslim Brotherhood all on her own, drawing them from the CIA's inventory, so long as she signed off on it, and President Obama had a classified finding that covered the gift. So the transfer of FIM-92, Stinger missiles went forward.

Secretary Clinton and Director Petraeus didn't see eye to eye on a number of issues, and he didn't intend to take the blame if things went horribly wrong with the surface to air missiles. The FBI received marching orders to expose the director's love affair with Paula Broadwell, which ruined him in office and forced his departure. Petraeus was replaced by Leon Panetta, a Democratic Party functionary with no intelligence or military credentials -- but a history of following orders in the Clinton White House. Five days before the Benghazi Massacre, Panetta became Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, and Clinton dispatched the late Ambassador Chris Stevens to Benghazi to try and treat with the Muslim Brotherhood and buy back the unused missiles, which would be handed over to the Central Intelligence Agency at the nearby annex.

Obama Bloody Handprint Flag
Things went horribly wrong and everyone knows that part of the story now. The Brotherhood stormed the Benghazi Consulate, killed Americans, and stole the money that was to be used to buy back the missiles.

If aid had been sent and more people had been exposed to the Secret of Benghazi, the backlash against Hillary Clinton could have been substantial. This better that NO aid be sent. In the words of the pirate captain, "dead men tell no tales."

Hillary (what does it matter) Clinton was caught in a vice and her staff advised her to spin the Benghazi story to coincide with an unrelated riot in Egypt. Susan Rice (now US National Security Advisor to Barack Obama) went on the Sunday talk shows and lied. And Secretary Clinton lied. And Barack Obama lied. Because telling the truth would mean that Hillary Clinton would be exposed and that exposure would ruin any chance that she had to be President of the United States and Leader of the Free World.

There weren't a lot of people in the buy-back loop. CIA had been instructed to stay out of it and those orders remained in place from the Petraeus days at CIA. (Panetta had been there less than a week when it hit the fan) Those who credibly knew were and remain constrained from talking because of security clearance agreements, violation of which would force them into the apartment next to the one where Edward Snowden lives in Moscow.

Will Hillary Clinton, the Bitch of Benghazi,
become President of the United States?

History hasn't written that chapter yet. Her campaign slogan is "are you ready for Hillary?" Clearly, Hillary is ready to be leader of the free world. She's out dragging the sack big time for her candidacy with that $2 billion number (the amount that she needs in her war chest) hanging high in the sky. Many Democrats believe Hillary is owed the nomination and the presidency and assume that America is now ready – braced, even – for her ascension to the pinnacle of power.  That's pretty scary. Sort of like rolling over in bed and seeing her homely face staring at you from the adjacent pillow. (Who can really blame Bill for preferring Monica and almost anything else in a skirt?)

Where are the missing surface-to-air missiles? So far as anyone knows, they remain in the hands of al Qaeda, and could be used anywhere in the world. Hillary Clinton expressed her feelings: "What does it matter?"

The Yellow Stain of Benghazi

I'm not dissatisfied with the path that I took through life, but if confronted with the same options today that I had back then, I believe that I would have taken a different course -- because the world has shifted fundamentally. Nowhere does this become more evident than when looking at the Benghazi Scandal.

The Special Forces people inside Libya who identified those who attacked the US Consulate one year ago, found them and now, rather than holding them accountable, are being pulled out of Libya.

Read more about it here: Fox News - Benghazi  Team involved in tracking Benghazi suspects pulling out, sources say
...The men tell Fox News their mission was to capture or kill the suspects in question, and they briefed the acting U.S. ambassador in Libya and the senior CIA representative in the country. The men were told both Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and an under secretary were briefed about their information and their ability to capture or kill those responsible. Still, they did not get approval from the Department of Defense or the White House.

Some of the individuals report seeing former AFRICOM commander General Carter Ham tell former Libya Chief of Mission Laurence Pope that he could easily submit a plan to kill or capture the suspects, but "politics and fallout kept us from acting. To do an operation we have to have (Chief of Mission) and state approval. We didn't get it. ... They sat on it."
And that's why a lot of young special operators quit working for USGOV and take jobs with Blackwater and other firms. Employment with USGOV is an exercise in frustration. The fish rots from the head down. And now, the same liberal freaks, misfits and utopian socialists who brought you Barack Obama are pushing that Hillary Clinton, the Bitch of Benghazi, become president.

No -- not anymore.

Sinaloa Federation Pivots Toward Canada

Continued from: Drug War in Mexico - Updated (Part One) (Part Two)

Roughly three years ago now, Joaquin (El Chapo) Guzman Loera's faction of the Sinaloa Federation began to acquire significant assets in Canada. Chapo is a micromanager and he began to spend summers in British Columbia and Alberta primarily -- and he liked what he saw. One of his long time allies, Vincente Picos began to spend hundreds of millions to acquire ranches and infrastructure throughout Canada in preparation for the organization to take on a fundamentally new character. Since Canada, the country (34.4 million population) has fewer people than California, the US State (37.7 million), the targeted market was never Canada, though they were willing to sell there**.
**Example: Jimmy Cournoyer (currentlly in custody) supplied John Venizelos (LCN - Bonanno crime family) with marijuana and cocaine products that he distributed to the hungry New York City market. John Venizelos contends that he is not a drug dealer. He manages night clubs in New York City and a strip club (Crazy Horse Too) in Las Vegas, NV. Cournoyer bought his cocaine from Chapo in Canada with profits from his BC Bud sales to the Hell's Angels (who specialize in methamphetemine products).
As the situation in Mexico became increasingly competitive and dangerous, Chapo found that the cost of doing business increased proportionately and had sent Vincente Picos to Canada, where he had been very successful in transporting narcotics across the lightly/unguarded US/Canada Border. The Canadians had absolutely no understanding of Mexican traffickers or their organizational methodology and the scrutiny that Mexicans suffered under in the US was completely absent in Canada. East-West Interstate highways in Canada were not subject to extreme profiling and the loads made it almost all of the time. While a wholesale move to Canada was a serious paradigm shift, it made business sense.

During this time, USGOV received regular reports that Chapo Guzman, elevated to the most sought man in the world after the SEAL's ended Osama bin Laden's career, was spending summers in Canada. USGOV even had a relatively good idea where Chapo was staying from a regional point of view. That intelligence filter down to the DEA managed US/Mexico Border Task Force types who were "hunting Chapo" in Mexico, but most of them weren't up to the game in the first place. The relative quality of federal law enforcement types being shuttled into these task forces had declined steadily since early 2000's. By 2013 they became a running ("bottom feeder") joke at places like EPIC and in the "basement" at the CNC.

Los Caballeros Templarios (LCT) more or less owns Washington State. It's not a turf ownership in the sense of the 22nd Street Crips owning a piece of all of the crime that's happening on 22nd Street. They had the infrastructure to ship from Michoacan and Gurrero where they primarily control the Mexican turf (Port of Lazlo Cardenas and Manzanillo to a lesser extent) and to distribute primarily cocaine and methamphetemine products to Seattle and the region stretching through the Indian Nations, east to Spokanne and the Idaho Panhandle, and down into Boisie, Idaho.

In order to both reassure LCT and to use their supply pipelines when they needed to move product, Chapo made peace with Servando (La Tuta) Gómez Martínez and Nazario Moreno González, known as El Más Loco, who is still alive despite reports from MEXGOV to the contrary. This truce, set in place two years ago, is still holding primarily due to the fact that Chapo is withdrawing from Mexico, moving funds to China and getting out of the traditional Mexican game.

The Canadians were not and still are not tuned in to the differences that tend to single out Sinaloan drug dealers from the small, but present population of Mexicans in Canada. I spoke with an RCMP official/expert not long ago about Senora de los Sombras, Nino Negro Santa or the Holy Death (Santa Muerte) (different names for the same saint), and he had no idea what I was speaking about. They're behind the curve but they will catch up.

Canada was not prepared for organized crime to dump half a billion dollars into infrastructure. They're not set up to work at that level and they still aren't. Yes, they will catch up one day -- maybe. The Sinaloans have been moving drugs at a very high level for a very long time and have been up against tough enforcement efforts and tough competition. They know how to run a business. And Chapo is running most of his in Canada these days, under the Canadian radar.

A Pattern of Governing

If it was a Republican administration, the liberals would be foaming at the mouths, dusting off their old hippie clothing and would take to the streets to be shot up with tear gas. But it's not a Republican in office, it is a Democrat and he's black. And the standard of governance has been that the Constitution has been relegated to "general guidelines" rather than the law of the land.

On Wednesday, the Nevada AFL-CIO passed a resolution declaring that "the unintended consequences of the ACA will lead to the destruction of the 40-hour work week." It's a very strange law whose only defining characteristic is that no one who favors it wants to be bound by it.
Meanwhile, on the very same day as the AFL-CIO was predicting the death of the 40-hour week, the University of Virginia announced plans to boot working spouses off its health plan beginning Jan. 1 because the Affordable Care Act has made it unaffordable: It's projected to add $7.3 million dollars to the university's bill in 2014 alone.
We know today that the the Affordable Care Act means whatever President Obama says it means on any particular day of the week, and that they feel that "tweeking it" without consultation from Congress is perfectly fine.

The public - is more or less brain dead because it's simply life in the ObamaNation.

Four Corner Monsters

There is only one place in America where four states meet and, oddly enough, it's called The Four Corners Region. There's not much to mark the spot besides the BLM survey marker and a few well maintained (at public expense) restrooms. The area around the marker is arid, but since it's better to be in the middle of nowhere than any other place on Earth, I've spent a few days and nights in that general locale.

Other than the highways and the little BLM rest stop, the whole area is dominated by Indian reservations, which indicates that the place is a vast strip of wasteland.

I realize that some blog readers would have a hard time thinking that their government would screw the Indians and give them crap land (useful in modern times for constructing casinos). However, there are interesting things to see and do in Southeastern Utah, Southwestern Colorado, Northeastern Arizona and Northwestern New Mexico besides hunting horned toads. I think that Gilla Monsters are a protected species in Arizona now, but USGOV has not designated them as a protected species.

Nobody cared when I was a kid. Their bite is poisonous but if you wear heavy gloves with metal reinforcements (chain mail), their teeth won't penetrate and their formidable jaws lock on the steel, not your hand. They don't have fangs. The poison is in their saliva like a kimono dragon's, and it's completely lethal neurotoxin. The only way to get them to release (you take the glove off and leave it in their mouth and put another one on) is to dump them into a bucket of water. When you do that, they let go of the glove .

These days, Gila Monster poison is the prime ingredient in Byetta, a drug produced by Amylin Pharmaceuticals to treat diabetes. It is injected before eating morning and evening meals as part of a combination treatment with oral drugs. The FDA said it could be approved as a stand-alone treatment for diabetes. Who knew?

As a young man, I'd hunt them on a Honda 90 cc motorcycle. No, it's not a fast motorcycle, but the Gila Monster was not a fast lizard. They grunt and hiss at you and those tiny legs move faster than you'd think when they want to get away, but we sold those that we caught to one particular pet store in Phoenix, AZ, that sold to zoos worldwide. It paid for the camping trips and for the 1968 Honda that was eventually traded in for a 1970 model, which I gave to my oldest daughter as a birthday present a few years ago.

Pay-off: $100.00 cash per monster back when that was a lot of money. Capturing three or four monsters on any given trip was considered to be a huge coup. Of the nearly one dozen monster trips I made, we struck out on about half, contenting ourselves with riding motorcycles and shooting a soda cans with .22's.

The Mexican Drug War - Updated (Part Two)

In the first part of this short series, we discussed why efforts being undertaken by the Mexican government won't have any lasting impact, and why the Americans don't care.

Presidente Enrique Peña Nieto
The ruling PRI political organization and its traditionally nationalistic prejudice against foreign encroachment on matters of state security, along with that party’s desperate desire to re-establish hegemony by capitalizing on the electorate’s weariness of a now-stratospheric death toll, led to Peña Nieto’s call for a new strategy, the goal of which is not a large-scale interdiction of narcotics and the capture or killing of drug lords, as the U.S. wants, but rather an amorphous and politically expedient platitude of “reducing violence.”

Mexican President Peña Nieto's government (to their credit) stopped taking money from the same narcos that the Calderon government favored. They picked different winners. During the presidential campaign and his first months in power, Peña Nieto promised to de-militarize the war by creating a civilian paramilitary gendarmerie along Colombian lines, and though he has appointed former Colombian general Oscar Naranjo as his security adviser, the proposed force’s status remains, and is likely to remain, in limbo. As the country’s economy grows at an impressive annual rate of approximately 3.8%, the unprecedented violence unleashed during the previous presidential administration has not abetted in any real way. In fact, in many parts of Mexico it is spreading and increasing, becoming more uniform throughout the country, even though various cartels’ territorial lines have remained largely static.

President Peña Nieto is not a puppet of the narcos, but he is clearly acting out an agenda that favors one group over another, as the PRI did back in the 1980's when they did their best to 'organize' organized crime.

US - Mexican Relations Deteriorated

On December 15, 2012, two weeks after Peña Nieto was sworn-in as the new president, a tense and premonitory meeting took place at the U.S. embassy in Mexico City between the new government’s national security team, including the new interior minister, attorney general, and various Mexican intelligence officials, and agents of the FBI, CIA, DEA, as well as representatives from the State Department and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Maintaining a subtle calmness, the scandalized Mexican grandees were briefed on the extent of U.S.-Mexico cooperation in the hemispheric struggle to stem the tide of narcotics into American streets.

The Mexicans were informed that as the violence escalated in quantity and degree, the two countries’ partnership and fierce determination also deepened. By 2011, there was an intelligence fusion center run by the CIA in Mexico City, one run by the DEA in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, as well as massive American infrastructure development inside CISEN, the Mexican intelligence agency. While American spies aided the various branches of the Mexican military in real-time during raids and intelligence gathering expeditions, U.S. spy planes were given full rights to patrol the skies, and unarmed drones provided Mexican Special Forces with information on the daily patterns of activity of targeted kingpins and their henchmen. To stem the constant threat of cartel intelligence agents’ penetrating the Mexican security services, the CIA’s then-classified program SCENIC was training the Mexicans on vetting methods, as well as on successful asset recruitment. President Calderon had come to rely so much on drones, that he decided to not only purchase some, but also asked the U.S. for armed drones to strike at the traffickers, a request that was turned down due to the immense political risk of collateral damage in politically volatile Mexico. President Calderon had also given U.S. agents the rather exceptional privilege of actually choosing which branches of the Mexican military, and further, which units, received the actionable intelligence, thereby also implicitly agreeing to the Americans’ assessment of the reliability (read incorruptibility) of specific units and officers.

Four months after the above mentioned meeting, President Peña Nieto’s team delivered the first changes to the U.S.-Mexico anti-drug efforts. The PRI appointees declared that Americans would no longer be allowed to work inside the intelligence fusion centers, and that direct communication between civilian CIA and DEA agents and their contacts in the Mexican military was now prohibited.

The PRI needs to be able to organize the narcos under the party's banner and with party control over large shipments north. They can't do that with the US flying drones overhead or with US spies reporting on what's going on both on the streets and in the seat of power.

From an American point of view, the war ended.

Coming Soon: Sinaloa Federation Pivots Toward Canada

The Canadians are starting to care about this. But they've been warned about it for over two years now and said nothing but "cheers - eh?"

The Mexican Drug War - Updated (Part One)

Members of the constituted Mexican government have traditionally allied themselves with members of the Beltran Leyva Organization (in its various permutations), the Colima/Millennium Cartel, the Sinaloa Federation (in its various permutations) and not with Los Zetas or the Michoacan Cartels (La Familia Michoacan/Los Caballeros Templarios. As a result, it's not surprising that the Mexican Government puts so much effort into fighting Los Zetas and Los Caballeros Templarios (The Knights Templar).

On Monday July 15th, 2013, SEMAR, the Mexican Navy, arrested the Zetas’ supreme leader Miguel Angel Treviño Morales, alias “Z-40,” 17 miles southwest of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas state. Treviño’s bloodless arrest has been a cautious PR boon for President Enrique Peña Nieto of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), who came to office promising a drastic reduction in the violence caused by the counter- insurgency campaign launched by his predecessor of the National Action Party (PAN), Felipe Calderon.

Though Los Zetas did spring from the roots of Mexican Special Forces, they became a franchise operation where anyone who wanted to join in the drug business "bought in" to the Zeta organization. The original Zetas have been killed off or captured for the past five years and Angel Treviño Morales was one of the last of that original cadre to come to heel. But it doesn't matter all that much because someone will fill his shoes with very little difficulty.

To be a successful trafficker, you need infrastructure pipelines within the US (and to a lesser extent elsewhere). Los Zetas has an intact network as does Los Caballeros Templarios, which means that no matter what happens to the cartel people in Mexico, SOMEBODY will rise up, take their place and take charge of the pipelines in the US.

When I say pipeline, I mean MANY THOUSANDS of independent pipelines. One group of lines for drugs coming in and another group of separate lines for the money going back. These pipelines are almost always made up of networked family members who have no apparent affiliation with the drug business. The pipelines are all independent from each other. There is no cross-pollination. Thus when law enforcement takes one off, it has almost no impact on the business. This explains in part why a one-ton arrest for meth or cocaine doesn't impact the street price.

So the update summary is: more of the same. But you knew that.

The United States is more than ambivalent towards the direction the Mexican administration has taken in its struggle against narco-traffickers. The US Attorney's Office has a racially focused agenda and everybody knows it.

No Thanks

Please put on your tinfoil hat for a moment.

Citing the Heath and Human Services website, a report posted Wednesday at the Freedom Outpost says that under ObamaCare, government agents can engage in "home health visits" for those in certain “high-risk” categories.

Those categories include:
  • Families where mom is not yet 21;
  • Families where someone is a tobacco user;
  • Families where there is a firearm in the home;
  • Families where children have low student achievement, developmental delays, or disabilities, and
  • Families with individuals who are serving or formerly served in the armed forces, including such families that have members of the armed forces who have had multiple deployments outside the United States.
Constitutional attorney and author Kent Masterson Brown said that despite what HHS says, the program is not “voluntary."

"The eligible entity receiving the grant for performing the home visits is to identify the individuals to be visited and intervene so as to meet the improvement benchmarks," he said. "A homeschooling family, for instance, may be subject to 'intervention' in 'school readiness' and 'social-emotional developmental indicators.' A farm family may be subject to 'intervention' in order to 'prevent child injuries.' The sky is the limit."

Joshua Cook said that while the administration would claim the program only applies to those on Medicaid, the new law, by its own definition, has no such limitation.

"Intervention," he added, quoting Brown, "may be with any family for any reason. It may also result in the child or children being required to go to certain schools or taking certain medications and vaccines and even having more limited – or no – interaction with parents. The federal government will now set the standards for raising children and will enforce them by home visits.”

South Carolina State Rep. Bill Chumley introduced a measure that would make the forced home visitations illegal in his state. The measure passed in the House but died in the Senate. In 2011, he noted, HHS said $224 million would be allocated to support these home visiting programs.

Personally, I think that ObamaCare will end up being quietly folded into Medicare and we'll see a lot of this die on the vine for lack of funding. BUT what it shows is where the Obama Administration would like to go with this initiative if they had the money to pull it off.
