Is Syria a "Wag the Dog" Scenario?

"Political language... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind." - Orwell
Pick your scandal these days. Everyone has a favorite. People die and Obama lies (Benghazi, Fast and Furious, etc.). So the time is ripe for America to send troops to fight a war and get the national attention away from the IRS Scandal, the EPA Scandal and the National Security Agency getting its pants pulled down around its ankles by a whistleblower.

For those of you who have not seen "Wag the Dog" (not nearly as fictional as you think), I offer a clip:

Wag the Dog was more of a documentary than it was a feature film.

The world learned about the Syrian government gassing its rebellious citizens at least two months ago. Today, with more scandals (at least one a week) blasting out, we find that the Obama Administration just decided that The Syrian Government has used Chemical Weapons!

"Never let a good crisis go to waste." - Rahm Emanuel

And here I sit, waiting for President Obama to 'take the high ground' and send American troops into harm's way to distract the mainstream media viewing public from his Administration's failures and to try and evoke a wave of patriotic fervor, bathed in gallons of our sons and daughter's blood.

Will America go to war in Syria? If history is any judge, the question would be better put, why not? A close reading of George Orwell's book, 1984 will show you that the nation had to be continually at war.
"Every war when it comes, or before it comes, is represented not as a war but as an act of self-defense against a homicidal maniac." - Orwell
A Chicago Community Organizer who learned the ropes from the best; Emmanuel, Axelrod, Jarret, Ayres, Dorn, Daley, Wright, Farrakhan, Flaeger, Frank Marshal Davis, and Alinsky -- would start a war just to save his reputation and his legacy?
